Litter-training Ellie

We have a cat :)

Mummy says Ellie the cat isn't allowed into the house until she is litter-trained. And so! We litter-trained her.

It was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be. All three of us, Sean, Jean and myself gave her a bath, gave her some food and we waited there in the toilet with Ellie. I prepared her litter box, and we held her paws and clawed the lint in the box.

She liked the lint :) (they say some cats don't litter in the litter box cos they don't favor the lint o.o picky picky). She played around in the lint, jumping up and down, here and there.. while the three of us watched her, laughing our heads off.

and then ...

She stops jumping.

Sean : is it happening?

Mae : Omigod is it happening??!!

IT HAPPENED!!!

When we saw it .. happening ...

Mae, Sean, Jean : YEEEEESSSSS!!! WOOHHOOO!! YEEAAAHHH!! Arrrriiiiiight!!

Ellie just stared at us at she .. umm .. happened and we cheered her on.

Next mission : Train her to sit on command. And train her to jump. I know she's not a horse. But this cat can jump.

KLDA repeat

Tonight was quite fun :)

I went for the KLDA repeat dinner and dance.

This afternoon, I told myself I wouldn't get on the dance floor. I get nervous when I'm dancing an improvised-at-the-moment dance. Like, when I dance, I'm much comfortable when I know the next step, and the one after that, etc etc. No choreo, Mae no dance. What I always say :)

That was in the afternoon.

When I got there, 30 minutes in and already a few people started dancing.

OH BTW VERY IMPORTANTE DETAIL !! QISCAMEQISCAMEQISCAME !! :)

So yeah. I thought maybe I could get away throughout the whole night not getting on the dance floor. Almost everyone else from WDA was on the dance floor, but I turned to Qis and pretended talking to her.

nope didn't work.

Kenneth came up to me, asked me to dance. I gave him my best excuses, no shoes on, skirt too long for latin, song about to end .. :\ none worked. He waited there until I got my shoes on and we did one round of the rhumba choreo.

I was a nervous wreck. When I realize the floor was getting empty, I made it to get off. But he said, "no there's another couple there." ... dang it!

But it was pretty okay :) After that, I didn't feel so nervous anymore. I did like a little bit of Waltz and some Samba with Kelvin Choo :) hahah, he can lead well. I didn't know like half of what I was doing. I did Waltz and Samba with Sean. I did the chacha with vernon. :D

Some random person was nice enough to ask me to the floor. The whole time, the dance was improv and yeahiwasprettynervous. But I got used to it :D And then it turned out to be lots of fun! :D haha

My feet were sore. I finished dancing one rhumba song with the random person, was about to sit down and johnston asks. what to do? dance lah. I thought we were gonna do the beginners rhumba routine. noooooope. improv. but then again. it was fun :)

What I liked about tonight was that, just anyone can dance with anyone. You don't have to be afraid or nervous, just ask someone to dance :) You don't even have to know the persons name. Just dance and have fun :) Everyone from WDA was dancing with everyone else. Heck, everyone in the studio was dancing with everyone else :D

P/S : Every performance was an enjoyable one :) Yahoo and congrats.

The month of September

This one week break from school has been great. Raya was sort of low key this year, not too many open houses. I sorta like it that way. Gives me more time to think.

I realize there's so much I want to do but i never got around doing it. I feel like I'm stuck in a little box in the middle of a something great and i cant get out. The box isn't pitch black as if to cut out everything great happenning outside....

Ugh I'm going no where with this.

Lets try it again.

I feel like everything is right there in front of me but I can't seem to grab hold of it. Its like, I can reach it, whatever IT is, but I can't grab hold, and bring it in. I don't even know what IT is. I just have this instinct, this gut feeling that IT is something really wonderful. Something so great I'd be in complete bliss. IT, just might be something I've been waiting for, what I'm here for.

:/ what in god's name is IT..?

Like what one of my best friend said, I want a great writer to jump into my body, figure me out, write about who i am, how i feel, and then read it to me. Only i would want the reader to be Mo, Silvertongue from Inkheart but lets not go there.

Speaking of best friends.

I miss her ):

Convo at a traffic light

Last night was the thank you dinner for those who helped out at the Crystal DanceSport. Teacher Joanne says they don't usually organize thank you dinners but this time, there was something about extra tables for the event and a no-refunds policy.

ANYWAY.

Dinner was great :) The evening was pleasant. I was sitting at the back of the car, about to fall asleep. The car stops at a traffic light and all of a sudden my mom says, "MAE! YOUR FRIEND!"

I immediately got up and looked out the window on my right.

And true enough, there was Trishi and her family smiling. HAHAH! THAT WAS TOOO WEIRD! My dad rolled down the window and Trishi and I had a short conversation. HAH.

That is definitely going down memory lane.

Sean : ... A convo at a traffic light? Mae, if I saw my friend at a traffic light, I'd just do this, *then he does this thing with his eyebrow and raised his palm*

Mae : Oh.

Sean : ... tsk. Convo at a traffic light.

Stuff to blog about - blogged.

The Crystal DanceSport went well. I was one of the runners, collecting the result sheets after every dance and trust me, it's something you'd be excited about at first, but by the end of the day, my feet ached, I just wanted to lie down and listen to some music.

I loved the latin couple from Moldova. Then again, who didnt'? Every move was executed with such energy and such grace, watching them was so enjoyable. And the couple from Hong Kong, oh the lady's ballroom dress was gooorrrgeuss.

So ANYWAY!

We're on the road at 1.30 in the morning, and out of the blue Jean tells me we have a cat named Ellie. I could hardly believe it true cos my mom doesn't favor animals in the house. Not that she doesn't like animals, but come a cute pet, come responsibilities. I thought they were joking.

they werent.

I got home, and there was the kitten on our front door mat looking up at me with its adorable goo-goo eyes. Ellie the cat. Adorable. She was a splash of black, light brown and white. Pictures will be up ... someday.

*****

I HAD THE BEST ICE CREAM BAR EVERR.

Snickers Ice Cream Bars. Oh-yummm. Vanilla ice cream, a layer of caramel and some peanuts on top, with the whole thing coated in chocolate. You've got to try them.

*****

Mae : Daddy! Do you know about our cat?

Daddy : Cat? What cat?

Mae : Our house cat!

Daddy : We have a house cat?

Mae : Yeah! Ellie the cat!

Daddy : Wha- an ALLEY CAT?

Mae : -.- uhh. no, daddy. The cat is named Ellie.

Daddy : Oh. Yeah I saw Ellie the cat at the front door. haha. Alleeyy.

and my mom. It was late at night and my mom was lying on the bed, she was really tired. You could tell cos her eyes were doing the whole, droopy closey thing. My sister was giving her a massage and all of a sudden mummy wants to tell us about the musang in our neighborhood.

Mummy : Hey. You two wanna hear about the musang?

Mae & Jean : Yeah, okay.

Mummy : You know, the musang came to our house, and our animals made a deal with it (we don't have animals).

Mae & Jean : Okayy

Mummy : They made a deal with the musang, they asked him to leave them alone. But the musang didnt want to ....

Mae & Jean : Mhmmm..

Mummy : ....

*silence*

Mummy : I made my blue rice. (yeah, sometimes we eat blue rice. :D)

Mae : Oh. okay.

Mummy : The musang liked it. So the animals asked me to make some more blue rice. And they made a deal with the musang. They give him blue rice, he leaves them alone. The musang agreed.

Mae & Jean : O.o (Jean stopped massaging)

Mummy : Do you guys understand what I'm saying?

Mae & Jean : No.

Mummy : Yeah cos I'm too sleepy.

Mae & Jean : ????

Mummy : I should go to sleep.

Stuff to blog about

:) but not right now. Maybe tomorrow. Or sometime during the weekend.

  • Our new kitten :D
  • Snickers ice cream bars (they're awesome)
  • 9th Crystal DanceSport
  • ): Latin class
  • and something else. I can't remember what was it.

I didn't go to school today. I told myself I'd do some self studying. Ended taking a 'nap'. A 3 hour nap and in the end I didn't get much 'self-studying' done. :\

A girl name Jean

This was after we had sahur. Sean wanted to go back to sleep, Jean and I were using the computer.

Sean : Can we all do us a favor and turn off the lights, please?

Mae & Jean : ...

Sean : .. so can we turn off the lights?

Mae : You go do it. (cos usually he'd start making a fuss until someone else turns the lights off)

Sean : Fine. I'm flexible.

Mae & Jean : PSSHHHHH NO YOU'RE NOT.

Sean : Huh. Yes I am.

Jean : Fine. Do a split.

Mae & Sean : O.O

Boston Brass :)

While my brother crazed out at Word Stage with his friends, I was at Bentley Music Hall watching a brass quintet perform. :)

They were called Boston Brass and they're reaaaaally good. I loved every minute of their performance. On the trumpet was Jose Sibaja and ohmygod this guy was insane. Insane as in whoa-my-that-was-amazing insane. And this other guy on the tuba, Andrew Hitz. Graaahhhh he did some pretty crazy stuff on the tuba, too. It was like, bee doo bee doo ba doo bee doo and somemore crazy stuff.

Anyway. It wasn't a concert or anything. After they performed, i think they performed three songs, two other local brass quintets performed and later were given feedback and tips by each member of the Boston Brass.

You could tell how the Boston Brass are so into their music. It's really very beautiful, to be so attached and passionate about something.

Beach Boys

Aruba, jamaica, ooo I wanna take ya

Bermuda, bahama, come on pretty mama
Key largo, montego, baby why dont we go
Jamaica

Off the Florida keys
Theres a place called kokomo
Thats where you wanna go to get away from it all

Air :D

I just finished the last episode, of season 4, of How I Met Your Mother. And it is ... wait for it ... awesum*abrupt stop at the 'm'*

I watched the show a couple of time some time ago. Enjoyed it, but didn't follow the series. And recently Trishi got hooked onto the show. Like ... seriously hooked on the show. She's in love with Barney Stinson :D No arguments there. He's hilarious and ridiculously sweet (well, when he wants to be) you just wanna go up to him and give him the high five he wants .... nay .. DESERVES. :)

Anyway. After Trishi finished watching all four seasons, I come home one day and my brother tells me he has in his hands, all four seasons of How I Met Your Mother. And he got hooked onto the show. He loves Barney too. But .. not the same way Trishi does .. he just, finds Barney funny.

So I watched the show too! Heee I love Ted ... Ted .... Ted Evelyn Mosby. :D Ted. Lily and Marshal are the cutest couple. Robin is just awesum *abrupt stop at the 'm'* and Barney was to me at first, a bro with way too many one night stands and wayy wayy too many theories. But when he confesses to hummhumm about hummhumm. It was just ... awwwwww.

The show is just awesum *:) abrupt stop at the 'mmm'*. And it is legen ..... wait for it .... I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next word is .. DARY.

legendary :)

Classic Barney Line. CBL. HAH.

Happy Sixteenth Sweet Birthday :D

Waiiitt.

So I just got back from Curve and my feet HUUUURRRRTTT. I wore my new shoes to curve this evening (and they're quite hiiiiigh. Doesn't beat Sanuja's killers, though) and they killed the nerve cells in my foot ):

But tonight was fun :) I had a really good time. Met new people, caught with a few.

Latin class this afternoon was torttuuurre. Hey, no pain, no gain, right? Belman had us doing rhumba walks around the studio, Samba crusada (sp?) walks around the studio and halfway through class, I just felt like taking off the heels and walk around how we should be walking around our planet earth. BARE FOOTED.

But I didn't. Endured the hour and a half and when it ended, I wanted to go practice some more. HAH. Phsyyyycho.

I couldn't go to KLDA. Missed the chance to watch Alfredo+Carmen and Vernon+YenThing dancedancedance. But I don't regret going for the party at curve :) In fact, I'm glad I went, it was a blast. Hope WDA had a good time at the KLDA function. Will ask them about it next week. ha.

What are you doing right now, besides blogging?

Trying to ignore my aching feet. No progress there. So I guess I'm planning out the rest of my evening. O.o wait I did that yesterday.

:) Okay. So I'm planning a new weekly schedule. Need to spend more time on latin. Stamina, point, squeezing muscles, pain, back posture, pain, arm movement, pain, pain and pain.

Who's the last person you sms-ed?
Hahah :D Funny you asked. I think it was 4 months ago. (with my number)

Who's the last person you email-ed?
Yeah mmhmm. I can't remember either.

If you woke up from the bed and find yourself in the middle of the mountain, what would you do?
First I'll ask myself, "What am I doing here." and then I'd try and somehow figure out if there are mountain lions in the area. And then I'll gather huge rocks and arrange them so from up above it'll read, "I'm Lost".

What kind of boy/girl do you like?
Someone who understands me.

Who is the person you had a crush on recently? Name that person or his/her initials
TM. Ted Mosby.

Describe that person you mentioned in no.6
Well. He has lips that seem like they're always puckered. umm.. short dark hair. Lives in new york and exists only in a little television series called How I Met Your Mother.

If you see RM1000000 note on a floor. What would you do?
Probably walk by it. There ain't no such thing as a RM1000000 note, brotha.

The last time you took a picture?
Just now. Parttaayy.

Describe something about yourself that others might not have. Tell it honestly.
I'm number one. :D Inside joke.

Who do you want to stay at a hotel for one night with?
a bunch of my friends. :) Have a hotel-sleepover. oh yeah high five.

If you were given a chance to marry someone in our friends link in your blog, who would it be?
Bajubawhaaat?

Funhouse

I'M AWAKE ! :D HA. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

It's 6.26am on a non-schooling Thursday .. umm ... day. and I'm awake! Browsing the internet as if there were anything to do on the computer this early.

The beginning of Pink's Funhouse song is quite catchy. lol. I didn't know it was by her so when I heard it I was like, "Oh this is cute :D" And the I see her skipping in the middle of the desert (in her music video) and I just went, "oh."

Not that I don't like Pink. In fact I really don't know why I thought that O.o

I might fail my august bio test. I could do both questions. Like, I knew the answers and all that hoohaa but I didn't have enough time ): Schtutupidly, in the midst of doing the first question, I left the graph data unanswered and therefore the graph was unanswered too, and just went ahead to the design an experiment question thinking I could finish up the graph after I've done D.A.E.

But nooooo. 5 minutes before times up, I was still scribbling my procedures like the world depended on it. O.o if the world really did depend on it the world would've made a huge mistake and exploded cos I DIDN'T FINISH MY PROCEDURE. ): Teacher was already collecting the answer sheets while I scribbled my conclusion ):

And you know whats worse? Everything I did in Question 1 was wrong cos it was 10cm ): Not 9.9cm. so all my calculations are wrong ): So the whole dang paper is wrong wrong wrong ): boo.

I don't get frustrated over test papers very easily but this time, I actually knew the answers (and they're Bio answers. duuuuude) but I didn't put them down. Oh boooo. boo and a thousand times boo again.

English was okay though :)

August 4, 2009

It's been pretty busy around here.

Logarithm is coming out for august test. So I practiced, practiced and practiced some more. I remember sitting in a corner in the 4SA classroom and just punching numbers into my calculator. :) Everytime I get an equation right I'd shriek. It's a gooood feeling when you solve an add maths equation. I think I actually enjoy add maths. It's kind of fun. :)

****

There was this one time during Bio, I forgot to bring the blue book to the lab for Pn Yong to sign, so I asked Trishi to accompany me back to the classroom. We got the blue book, and on our way back to the bio lab, we bumped into Elsheba and Trishi started apologizing about some tennis thing that she didn't attend the day before.

So they were talking and talking and I just stood there listening. And all of a sudden we hear Pn Ngau behind us, "What are the three musketeers doing here?? Aren't you all supposed to be in class??"

So we turn around and we see her walking towards us.

Mae : Oh. Umm .. We had to get the blue book. I forgot to bring it to the lab and now we're going back.

*Elsheba swiftly walks away -.-. Smooth, elsheba. Smooth.

Pn Ngau : Well hurry up. Don't walk so slowly. Don't let me catch up.

At this point Trishi and I were sort of confused. Theeeen we realized she was 'chasing' us to the bio lab. So we started with a slow jog to the lab with Pn Ngau still walking behind us. We were passing by the chemistry lab, Trishi and I were giggling at how silly it made us feel.

Thought it was over, so we sort of relaxed our quickened pace ... and suddenly ...

Pn Ngau : Hurrryyyyyy !! I'm goooonna get you! I'm catching up to you!! Run girls, run!! I'm catching you!

Laughing even harder, we ran to the bio lab.

So .. highlight of the day. Trishi and I were chased by a teacher to the bio lab. Whooshh.

Another funny-teacher-moment.

Pn Yeo was in the class discussing our PEKA. So she stands directly under the fan and starts.

*Class listening attentively. When it comes to PEKA. No play play.*

Pn Yeo : So class .. *abruptly stops right there. and she looks up*

Class : ... (in our minds : whats going on??)

Pn. Yeo : *looking up at the fan* ....

Class : ... o.o *whhaaat?*

Pn Yeo : ...

Class : ...

Pn Yeo : ..... Why is the fan lower?

******

Outside school activities are .. well, the same :) I enjoy every moment of it.

Only recently, I actually look forward to more piano theory work. I used to hate it so bad I'd stare at my text book and in my mind go, "One day. I'll destroy you."

Okay maybe I didn't think that. But I hated theory work. Now I love it :) Heee. Weird.

Ballroom is okay. I just bought my ballroom shoes and .. ouuuuuuuuch. Thing about ballroom shoes/latin shoes, they make you buy a pair one size smaller. Don't ask me why. Squeezing your foot into the shoe already make you wanna scream and cry out. Imagine dancing in those toe-squishing-blisters-trouble-maker shoes. But after seasoning the shoe (lol. seasoning the shoe. lol. would you prefer salt or pepper? :D), they get really comfortable. :)

Home on a Wednesday

Feels like a hundred years since I've posted anything new.

So ... school's out for a week. The teachers say it's a precaution step to break the cycle of the flu going round.

I woke up at 5.30am on this morning. Was about to get ready for school when I realized the school gates would be close for a week. So I went back to sleep and woke up at 10am :) Oh yeah. Watched West Side Story. It was okay. I liked the dance numbers. Chng I think you'd like this one particular number. If I ever find the title of the song, will tell you.

So what do I do on a Wednesdaaayyy??

Ballet Shoes

I just finished watching Ballet Shoes on youtube. Starring Emma Watson, Lucy Boynton and Yasmin Paige. It's a very uplifting movie. I liked it :)

I saw the movie picture on Siti's blog and I had to watch it :)

Coincidence

Around 10am, I was on the internet. Came across the news of Yasmin Ahmad's passing.

Her passing on is a real loss to Malaysia. One of the rare talents we see today has returned home, may she rest in peace.

It's a coincidence how she passed on exactly a month after Michael Jackson. He on the 25th of June. She on the 25th of July. I don't usually preach these things, but after hearing about the news on Yasmin Ahmad, it just hit me.

Anyway. RIP Yasmin Ahmad, you are loved by so many.

July 22, 2009

Hello, ice cream man

I've been watching America from West Side Story again and again since last night. Can't get enough of it :) The accent is so cute and the choreography is so ... well just as cute as the accent. We're doing this number for Aunty Farah's class. The choreography is da BOMB. But there's no counting O.o so it's like .. aiiyooo. But class is still a lot of fun :)

I would be at WDA practicing (or in other words sit down, listen to latin american music and watch OTHER people dance). But since the studio is closed, after piano I came home, had a good dinner and here I am :) Although I really shouldn't be here. I really REALLY should be studying.

ANYWAY :)

Next week will be my last guitar class with Chilly ): Booo. I like guitar class. And Chilly is cool :D He'd say, "Okay good." even though I know I did terribly terribly bad. We started Why Georgia (sp?) by John Mayer. ITS TOUGH. lol, after class, I was in a smaller room practicing till I swear my fingers were about to bleed ): Theeen, one of the other teachers slides the sliding door open, and says, "sing me a Michael Jackson song". So I was like, "Uh, okay." I sang black or white. lol he was smiling and he was like, "eh eh, michael jackson! :D wah."
We worked on my exam pieces during piano class. I'll be taking my practical exam next year, but I guess its never too early to be prepared. Besides, I like the pieces. So, no complaints.
After piano class, we were waiting at a traffic light in the car, and an ice cream man stops on our left. Sean was like, "heyyyy Ice cream man.". So I turned to my right, and the big blue container with that contains the goodie-ness of ice-cream was smack right in front of my face. So, rhetorically, I was like, "Mummy maybe we could buy some ice cream right now, right here." and to top it off, I was making pretty huge gestures, like pointing to the ice cream box and making the money gesture where you rub your forefinger and your thumb together.
Anyway.
What I didn't realize was that the ice cream man saw everything. And I think he understood, too. So when I looked at him, he was smiling and like, laughed a little.
Bright red. bright red.
And I never saw that ice cream man, again :)

Sabotage

The performance went okay. Although I messed up the guitar chords towards the end ):

I had to cut my medley by 2 songs. But I guess it was for the better, 6 songs would've been too much not to mention boring. Congrats to Sheera for winning SAGT :) YAYYY!! Kai and Mel, you guys are awesome and not to mention amazing singers :) No worries, you'll knock 'em dead with your next performance.

Physics tuition was all about Pascal's principle, car brakes, and sabotaging cars. At least Mr. Yeoh's teaching ways kept me awake. I swear I was so tired after Hari Koko at school, I could've slept through an earthquake, tornado and the loudest storm you'll probably ever hear all at once. Had dinner at a Nyonya restaurant. I never get why they turn the air conditioning to full blast. The place could've pass off for the north pole.

I've major cleaning up to do. ):

And uh. YEAH !  :D

17 Again

I juuuussst finished the movie.
I liked it :) I am proud to announce, I've officially fallen into the whole Zac Efron pit(?). He's adorable ! :) The movie was funny, and juuussst nice. There ain't no other way to explain. It was a good movie, I enjoyed it, and I'd definitely would want to watch it again sometime.
Me and the family planning to watch Ice Age 3 this Saturday after Latin. Daddy won't be around ): boo. And then this Sunday it might be Harry Potter 6 with Trishi and Lat. I want to go with the DTB peeps (cheyyh) too but they're planning for a saturday/friday outing.
Anywho!
Guitar lesson was fun. I learned Bubbly by Colbie Callait. I think it was more for the plucking technique rather the fun of the song. Chilly ( guitar teacher ) was writing the chords down, and I was practicing on my guitar, and I hear, "Okay .. verrrryyy simple." I look up at the manuscript book,
....
Chhhh yeah sure. Verryyyy simple.
But I enjoyed the class.
Mosquito's are on a mission to suck out whats left in me. I think I'll shower and then practice for this friday's performance. I just remembered theres a rehearsal tomorrow and I'm nowhere near ready.
Nowhere.

PRS Gathering

I think it went well. I little glitches with the mike situation, but I think it went fairly well.

A big big big thank you to the BB PRS-es. Without their efforts the gathering wouldn't have been half what it was today. Special thanks to all the facilitators who put up with the madness I put them through. Nima, Rianne, Suki, Hayatul Aina, Wono, Maryam F, Megat, Ashraf x3 (:D haha. yeah there were 3 ashraf's. Arif, Afendi, and just Ashraf), Ernie, Kamelia Nisha. You guys did great. Salute to Maryam :) Her station was pretty messy (i meant how the game goes and with all the little little props she had to handle) but she did a great job.

Dimitrii!! :D hahah.

There's dance class tomorrow. YAY!! :D

I went to daddy's high school this evening. Yeah. Daddy and his friends had a gathering at their old high school. There was an inter-school rugby game happening at the school and it was pretty interesting to watch. One particular team was practicing not that far a distance from our tent. They would stand in lines, run, pass the ball, and out of the corner of my eye I see one of them fall to the ground. His other teammates surrounded him, I thought to see if he was okay, but they took the ball and continued their practice O.o

And then it happened again. They ran, pass the ball, and one boy would fall down. I'd gasp every time a boy fell, but my mom and dad were just .. chill O.o

Soon I realized they were falling down on purpose.

Mummy : They're practicing falling down.

Oh ..

I didn't quite understand the game. So my dad explained a little.

Daddy : Okay. There's 2 types of rugby. American, and british rugby. What we're watching is British rugby.

Mae : Whats the difference?

Daddy : American rugby, they're rough-ians. As for british rugby, they're rough-ians .... but gentlemen.

Mae : O.o *in my head* yeah, mmhmm. Totally understand. *not in my head* how do they .. umm .. be gentlemen?

Daddy : Pass the ball behind.

Mae : lol. oh.

July 10, 2009

Get off your butt, woman.

I really need to get up and get going.

I feel the energy running through me people, I just need to overcome my laziness and put that energy to use.

PRS Gathering is in about 4 hours. I was up all night just making sure everything was ready. I went through the games over and over and over again. I want tomorrow to run smoothly. I would say I'd be a little relieved once the gathering is over. I really need time to study for the August tests.

There would be no latin dance lessons tomorrow. ): Almost the whole school went to Surabaya, Indonesia for a competition. I wish them good luck :) I know they'll do extraordinarily and probably bring home a duffle-bag-full of medals :) chyyeehh.

I MISS DEBATING ): I've participated only once, and that was against DJ (and that was pretty scary too. :] DJ debaters pawn, man). I was a nervous ship wreck before the debate, but I loved it soo much :) It's fun. Sure, I'm no expert, and I didn't spend years and years watching/participating debates but I still loved it.

Wall-E

Wall-E is on Disney. Has to be one of the cutest animations ever. Wall-E and Eeeeva are popping those bubble wraps.. and now they're doing 'Sunday Clothes'.

): sigh.

I just got back from the NATD Medalist competition. I'm dead tired.

***

I wish I were good at something. ): Like, actually really good at something. I want that feeling of assurance that I can do something. I wish I could dance like Yulia Zagoruychenko or sing like Charice Pempengco or talk like Pat Webs (or something like that. She's an Australian debater) or feel like Michael Jackson or cook like Chef Goustou (sp?) or decorate like Nate (from Oprah) or draw like Michael Angelo ...

): When am I ever gonna find that one thing

):

I don't know why I bother.

June 28, 2009

Michael Jackson.

I still can't swallow the whole thing.

I can't believe he's gone. But I pray we never let him die. I regret not really appreciating him before. I used to listen to his songs and say, "this is beautiful." But I never made time to sit down, close my eyes, and let the message reach me. Only a true .. beautiful soul (?) could deliver such a message.

I listen to Man in the Mirror. And just the beginning, where he 'hmm's .. I swear I could've cried. Then I scribble the lyrics onto my memo pad, bubbles of bliss and something else I can't put my finger on forms in me and tears swell my eyes I couldn't see what I've written. His voice soothed me, and every word just pierces my everything inside me and just then I wanted to scream Why. Why leave us. And then I cried. I cried inside and thats just worse cos the emotion just stays there and overwhelms you.

When you listen to this song and how he sings it, I'm just so certain He brought Michael down to earth for everyone of us to be close to. Michael was there for everyone.

Michael Jackson, you are magic.

I can't tell you just how much I miss you. Words fail me.

Secrets of The Fearless

The new book I've recently been so hooked on.

I can't put it down. Tried. Couldn't. It's about HMS Fearless and young John Barr. He and his father was cheated off their property, accused of murder, and in their attempt to run from the angry mob and the head of the mob, who was the actual murderer, they were pressed into the navy - against their will. But John and his father, Patrick were assigned to different ships. Patrick to the HMS Splendid and John to the HMS Fearless . It's a really good book.

In the book, the Scots are a was with the French. Basically, it's about life at sea.

Lion King rehearsal tomorrow. Latin technique drilll-llll-llling on Thursday. The lion king performance is on Friday, I can't wait :) The schools musical is this Saturday. Wheeee. Latin exam this Sunday. Can I not go to school on Monday? :) :) Naahh. I'll be going to school on Monday. There's something happening on Monday but I can't tell you. Shhh.

Anyway.

Good luck to those in the school's musical :) :) Work hard. People are coming to watch, so show 'em whatcha got.

Time flew by

It seemed like only yesterday I was in the car heading south to Malacca.

I got back most of my mid-year exam results. I'm not satisfied with my marks but whats done is done. I'll just have to promise myself I'll work harder fort he next examination. Which is in a little more than a month btw.

I bought Reader's Digest June issue that came with a free February issue. And I really like the articles in the magazine. I read articles on Tasmanian tigers, snake massages, the Canine Connection programme at the Echo Glen Children Centre in Washington, an inspirational woman named Sunitha from India, Danny Wallace and many many more. And all these from only the February issue. I'm thinking about subscribing.

What's new?

Umm. Jean turned 9 yesterday :) My dad got her this HUGE chuppa chuppa lollipop. it's humongous it's like three times the size of my fist. Pretty cool :) We'll be going to OU this Sunday 'cos my sister wants to celebrate at Space Galactica (or was it Galaxie) and Art Attack.

I can't believe it's already Friday. After today, it's gonna be Saturday :) and then Sunday :) I have a good feeling about this weekend. Suddenly I have so much motivation to finish up all my homework and cleaning up my room. Oh well :) Marinate the feeling while it  lasts.

June 7, 2009

Like kindergarten

Started class with aunty Farah again today :)

I. Love the class. I felt like kiddie tingle, like, bubbles of genuine happiness popping in me and I just wanted to hug my knees, shape myself into a human ball and roll around the floor. But I didn't do that, of course. Would've scared the other people there.

Oh and thats the other half of the best part of class :) I've missed everyone sooo soo much. It's good to see them again. Laughing at each other during routines, while we practice, make weird sounds ... Yeah I missed that :)

There's one week left to the holidays. Sunday today was awesome, cos I came back from dance rehearsal knowing I could sleep not worrying whether or not I've forgotten anything for Monday's list of hand-ins and should-be-done-before-Monday-work. I have piano and mandarin tuition tomorrow, and I love that stuff and all, but I just don't feel like right now. I want to go back to Sunday 2pm - 7pm.

Will be going over to the ballroom studio for practice for the whole week. I'm pretty excited. I really like going there, even though I'm as silent as a mouse when I am there, but I still love going there :) :). I'm not as tight as I am with the WDA people as I am with the DTB people [but ofcourse, I've known most of the DTB people since 2005], but we're cool, and they're super nice people. Takes time to build new friendship, I just wish my social skills were a little more pro than it is now. I'm terrible at making new friends ): If there was a master in this particular field, I beg to be your little grasshopper.

WHICH REMINDS ME! :) I have this sudden craving of making new friends. Any takers? Bear warning, my attempts to start a conversation might be a little off, but bear with me :) I am working on my people skills. :) heh.

Krystle with be rolling with me to Malacca for the latin competition! :D Isn't that great? She says we'll stuff ourselves with chips on the way there. lol. Its a 2 hour drive, we could chomp down I dunno, maybe 20 packets of chips? And I don't think we'd be able to squeeze into our costumes for the comp after all that chips. :) But it did sound like a fun idea. When we told Sean about this, all he said was, "Hah. I'd be able to fit into my costume. 'Cos I don't eat junk food."

Chhhhhh. Men.

June 6, 2009

How he rolls.

Latin class went okay. I was about to walk up to the studio when I realized I had forgotten my latin shoes :\ So mummy had to drive me all the way home and back again to the studio to get a pair of shoes.

Samba isn't getting any easier. I had a lot to work on before next Sunday. If I'm not mistaken, Johnston, Nicole, Sylvia and Jimmy went to Hong Kong for a competition. All the best :) I think Belman went, too. To support.

I had a dream last night. It was a pretty interesting dream although I couldn't remember much of it except for a blurry summary of what was it about. I did remember the last few minutes of it before I woke up. I was chasing Marisa 'cos she said she had something she wanted to show me. We passed by Latifah sitting with a bunch of people in orange suits interviewing them O.o [ btw, the place my dream took place was like this hogwarts castle thing, like a school, a campus, but a castle. lots of things going about ]. I lost Marisa and ended up in the boys territory. the campus was split to to parts, one side for ladies, the other for men and we were prohibited to enter the other. I bumped into a guy and wanted to run away cos I knew I'd get in trouble with the head. But the guy wouldn't let me go, and then it hit me, I turned and looked at the guy, it was Dhivya in a disguise. Then I remembered that we were all part of a mission to find something sacred in the boys part of the castle.

And then I woke up.

:)

I hope I find out exactly what was it we were looking for.

Anyway. Mummy, Sean, Jean and I had lunch at Amcorp. It's been a while since I last visited Amcorp and some stuff has changed, upgraded. Had lunch. Looked around and went home.

At the traffic light at jalan 222, we waited for the light to turn green. And from our left there was a guy, maybe about 17? 19? was on a bicycle, with a purple backpack and some stuff sticking out of the half-closed zipper. She zoomed pass us, quite fast, but in a pace enough for us (in the car) to catch about a 3 second glance of him.

He was a good looking fellow. Sharp features, and he had a smile and his face that made you smile too. He looked so clean-cut, so honest, and he cycled not too fast, not like those guys that cycle ridiculously fast on the road maybe imagining themselves a F1 racer or something, he cycled in a quickened pace but more like because he was excited to get to where he was supposed to go. Adorable :)

Mae : Mummy we should roll down the window and cheer him on.

Mummy : Haha. I'd roll down the window and ask for his number. "Auntie why would you want my number?" ( she was mocking of what he would probably reply ), I'd reply, "I have a daughter."

Mae : O.o AHHAHA!

Anyway.

Random, good-looking, gorgeous smile guy with the purple backpack (or was his shirt purple? -.- I cant remember) on the bicycle, if you're reading. Call me. :) 555-9894.

I just got back from a wedding of a family friend. Congrats :) :)

And it hit me, In roughly the same amount of time I felt like since I was in kindergarten and now that I'm in form4, I'd be getting married.

Dangit where IS that future husband of mine :P

June 4, 2009

Order up!

Correction to the previous post. Lat and I watched season 4. :) Pending season 5. Is that right? pending?

I spent my day waiting tables and walking around Curve.

Waiting tables was a fun experience. The lady in charge, Shirley, would call out, "AMOI!" everytime an order was up :) hahah. And she'd call the guys, "BOYY!". It was fun. Shirley is really nice, putting up with my being such a noob at this. I hope by the end of the day I improved atleast a little. I noticed at the end of the day, I was walking almost as fast as the other waiters :D haha They more like glide than walk. After awhile you sort of go on on automatic.

menu. order. food. drinks. trays. dirty dishes. money. change. Pretty cool. I had some trouble with the pricing and the menu but I guess that sorta thing takes time. I'm going back tomorrow. Earn some pocket money :) Next job, probably during the 2 month holiday, maybe I'll try out a bakery or an apparel store. that would be pretty neat, being part of the action behind scenes :D

lol. I was bringing an order out to the customers, and this super tall figure on my right, towering over me, it's shadow blocking the source of light, it said, "MAE!" I looked up and yelled back, "ALFRED!!"

lol! Alfred was there for the Taylors College open day thing. Asked me what was I doing there, I explained, bla bla bla and I had to go. I was on dutayy. cheyyyyyh :) hah. But it was good seeing a familiar face there.

Latin private class was .. tough. Samba is verryy enjoyable but its difficult ): I can't get it right and it's so frustrating cos competition is next week. NEXT WEEK! dangit. Tomorrow, if possible I'll squeeze in a movie in the morning :P and then off to wait tables and then practice at the studio and then tuition. and then SLEEP. Oh that sounds good. SLEEEP.

Paper paper paper planes!

HAH get it?! LOST, season 5. GET IT!? Charlie has 5 fingers up. :) cuute.

Finally had the LOST season 5 marathon at Latifah's place. The was LOST, lying down on the floor, pillows, sleeping, the roti man, mcD's, and a confused mcD's delivery guy. OH, and youtube :)

Supposed to be there at 7am.

Got there at 9am.

It's surprising how difficult it is to wake up early during the holidays.

.... okay, not that surprising.

But I had a good time :) I slept and Lat was like, "Mae are you sleeping?". And I was like, "Yeah". And after lunch, we watched a couple more episodes, I turned around and Lat was on the bed sleeping. I didn't bother asking her if she was sleeping ... cos I knew she wouldn't answer :D

We ordered mcD's, and the mcd delivery dood had trouble locating Latifah's house. We heard the doorbell ring, so we ran to the door ready to get our hands on our lunch, but when we got the gate, all we heard was a motorcycle driving off and no lunch ):

So we were like, "Whaaaat??" We took 2 seconds to get out and he drove off?! Puzzled, we stood there behind the gate wondering why in the world did the mcd dude drive off so fast. Lat was about to call the mcd .. umm .. base? (WOW MILITARY TALK) and suddenly she was like, "OH!! HAHA! It wasn't the mcd guy." She walked to the gate and in my head I was like, "Then who else could it be?", I watched Lat walk to the gate, and thats when I saw the loaf of Gardenia bread pinned between the gate and the .. wall beside it. "It was the roti man, THATS why he drove off so fast."

this was so sweet :)

Eventually we got our mcd's. But when we opened the plastic, there staring right at our faces, a box that said, "20 pieces" (chicken nuggets). Lat and I ordered fried chickkkayn. So Lat was about to call the mcd person, but then decided to check the contents of the said box with 20 pieces of chicken nuggets, and our fried chickkkayn was there in the box. :D aiyo. Lucky we checked, or the mcd people would've gotten yelling from 2 16 year olds, and the two 16 year olds wouldn't gotten serious embarassment, and may never ever get to work at mcd's. :\

:) He's so sweet in season 5.

I didn't finish season 1, and I friggin hope i get to finish it soon cos there's so many unanswered questions, and I really really wanna watch the part where Sawyer gives this cute-roll-eye-look and jumps off the helicopter and back onto the island just because the helicopter couldn't carry the weight and someone had to jump off. And he volunteered. AHHHH SO ADORABLE.

There's so much to do during the holidays, I'd right them down on paper, but I know I'd loose it and a tree wouldn't been sacrificed for nothing. So I'll list them out here, so I won't forget :D :D. I'll tab this post as .. don't forget :D

  • PRS board 09/10 [omigod can you believe it's soon to be 2010?!] essay(s).
  • PRS gathering game preparations.
  • A whole lot of cleaning up
  • A whole lot of studying .... up :D
  • latin comp serioussssss preparations
  • Petronas perfomance with the weirdo's I love so much :)
  • the takes-up-whole-of-my-sunday-afternoon-but-atleast-I-get-to-see-the-weirdos dance class .. on Sundays <3
  • latin dance class on Saturdays
  • guitar lessons, piano lessons
  • tuition
  • Bio lab report(s) .. lol I guess even the holidays couldn't keep biology away
  • Physics formative marks (exercises)
  • BM and English oral exam preparations
  • 3 movies to catch :) The Hannah Montana (is it spelled with a 'h'?) Movie, 17 again and Angels and Demons. yayy
  • Get new top and new pants. Nichii and Kitschen (love that place. Went to the branch in Tropicana City Mall ... and I love that place wheee ;D) sells (haha, I typed 'seels' and then I changed it. that was funny) reasonably-priced pant..aloons.
  • Get Jean's present.
  • latin exam preparations (.. yeah O.o exams. Teacher Joanne just told me yesterday)
  • ummm ... sleep.

But most of the stuff up there I really love :) So I couldn't imagine any other way to spend my holidays.

Oh wait I can. 21 hours of sleep a day, and 3 hours of nothing but eat and television. Oh yeah.

P/S: Excuse the bad english ): I'm soo sleeeeepy. Can't be bothered to edit.

Is that Archuleta?

Mummy came home from Amsterdam yesterday. Since then I couldn't stop with the questions. Amsterdam sounds so peaceful, so .. calm.

Anyway.

I was telling mummy about this one time when David Archuleta was playing on the radio, and Simon (daddy's driver) switched the channel just as the song started playing. I bugged my brother to ask Simon if he could switch the channel back to hitz.fm, and, obviously Sean didn't - just to annoy me. So I asked Simon :) I was enjoying the song, singing along. And then it ended. And like a millisecond after it did, Simon said, "okay, finish?"

LOL. and he switched back the channel to fly.fm. And Sean was like, "HAH!"

And just as I finished telling my mom about it, Miley Cyrus's The Climb came on the radio ...

Mummy : Is this David Archuleta?

Sean and I : O.O

Mummy : HAHAHHA! I can't tell the difference from all these new stars.

Mummy bought a  cow plushie for Jean. The cow was white, black ..... pink and red spots and horns. Yeah. It has one red horn and one pink horn. One red nostril and one pink nostril.

Jean : I wanna name it Meggie!

Sean : You can't name it Meggie, it's a guy!

Jean : No it isn't!

Mae (to the rescue) : Yeah! Who ever said it had to be a guy?!

Sean : ...... Mae, it has horns.

Mae : Oh .... Jean its a guy.

Sean : How in the world did you get 7A's?!

Mom bought so much cheese, I think we'll be having cheese the rest of the year. We went grocery shopping, and as I was unloading the groceries (is that right? 'unloading' the groceries?), I noticed they weren't the food we'd usually buy. It was sort of western. Meat for sandwiches (and that was mainly it from our grocery shopping), soup, french bread, sandwich bread, yogurt .. I mean, yeah its pretty usual but .. suddenly our fridge was filled with stuff for sandwiches and dairy stuff. No spices or colorful flowers they use for whatever curry or something.

Mae : Ma have you seen our groceries? It's so .. un-asian.

Mummy : I just got back from Amsterdam.

P/S: I love watching Will Smith interviews. He's funny.

May 30, 2009

7 pounds

I just finished 7 pounds. the movie.

and it was Beautiful.

I couldn't really get the movie at the beginning, but towards the end everything falls into place and at the very end, everything just pangs and (at least to me) tears fell, and I couldn't swallow in just how beautiful the world could be - if such generosity, such .. ugh .. such beauty could ever ever exist. I'm sure somewhere in this world it does, the movie just made me realize exactly how beautiful could one person be.

haha okay, me using the world 'beautiful' makes it sound a little ... dot dot dot.

but honestly. it was just so ... beautiful.

Secondly, Will Smith is just breathtaking. He is so amazing, talented don't do him justice. Amazing.

exam mania over-er-errr

I didn't get to go for PRS camp ):

Complications .. can't be bothered to post it up here :D :D heh. But the holidays are coming and I'm going crazy for it to come sooner. This weeks gonna be a loooong week.

OH!! haha. We had our Add maths exam on wednesday, and we got the results (with formative and all) on friday. lol. talk about express. I did okay. :) Not an A, not a B either but I'm glad with my results. I was almost so sure I was gonna fail. And I improved from last time :) So thats good news, right?

The WDA dinner and dance performance went okay. I was really tired at the end. And the whole thing reminded me of the whole DTB group and just how much I missed performing with those weirdo's (kidding. I love you guys). emm. Next ballroom comp will be in June. June 14. I'm really excited for that. I have to admit even more than I was for the penang comp. Why?

hheeee :) #1 I'm competing in Samba. And I loooooooove samba, its just so fun and .. well .. fun :) #2 Krystle Koh is gonna be there. YAYY!!!

I realized I didn't post up a birthday post. I'll do it soon although I know its LOOONNG overdue but this year's birthday was nice and sweet so I guess I'll do it anyway.

So many things swirling around in my head ):

But anyway. Enjoy the holidays!! :)

P/S: Aliaaaaa! Is the performance still on? :) :)

To Megan,

YES I BBBSSHHHMMMAMABBINGGDID

I bought so many books I don't know which one to start with :) AHHH! I have one about China, about some battleship thing about how a boy and his father was separated, Terry Goodkind books ... I can't even remember the rest.

Here's your link Iman :)

This episode was okay. It's the first episode of season 1. Episodes get funnier and funnier everytime. :) Well atleast that's what my opinion.

Enjoy! :) I love the theme song.

Off to school for some bio :) and maths.

Read read and more red

I can't put Inkheart down for not more than 5 minutes! ):

Dustfinger, Meggie, Mo, Elinor ... Their names just sing out of the book when I read it. I looove the characters, I love the story. For those who've seen me read a book, whenever I come across a .. umm .. a heart-thumping moment or a sweet moment and any special moment in the book, I'd close it for about 4 seconds and stare at the cover. Creepily I'd find myself smiling at the cover. But anyway, it gives me a moment to breath and then continue the story.

I'd very much love to read the book from Dustfinger's perspective. Everytime Meggie (the character we're reading from) looks at Dustfinger and he's staring into space, I always wondered what was he thinking about. He's cool with his fire blowing skills, juggling skills, and a ferret looking pet with horns always in his pack.

I'm in love with Mo. How Meggie describes him, what he does for her, how Meggie tells us how she's able to tell what he means with just the tone of how he says something. I dunno. I just love Mo. He's awesome.

I managed to put the book down to study some physics shiz before i go to sleep. One more week of exams and while I go through this one week, the wonderful world of stories await me :) 5 books. Can't wait to start.

New books :) Hoorah

I didn't keep my promise.

But anyway.

I didn't do much studying today. ): I still have 1 week of exams left and I should really, really get started. Yes. STARTED. I haven't revised my Physics and my Chemistry. I'm dead scared for Chemistry though. ): Chemistry is confusing and I dare say I prefer Bio to Chem.

Latin practice was good today. I **think I improved my Rhumba. I sure hope I did, though. Ballroom class is getting tougher every week. I can't say I didn't see it coming but classes seem like more work than fun nowadays .. well, nowaweeks actually, since ballroom is only umm once a week. But I'm not complaining :) I still enjoy ballroom very very very much.

I went to the Big Bad Wolf Booksale :) My first ever warehouse book sale. Books, paperback, hardcover, magazines .. everything was under RM10. Can you believe it?! We bought about 8=10 books for eighty ringgit. Awesome.

I bought
  • Inkheart - I saw the movie and I thought it was really good :) And uhh ... in my opinion, any movie based on a book turns out better than good, it's about 75% proven that the book is just as good or better than the movie.
  • A sequel to A Golden Compass - same reason as above. But I couldn't find the first book [the golden compass] so i bought the III book instead
  • Stars of Sea - its about a group of very different individuals on a ship and they're looking for  a new start in life. Or something like that. But I liked the little sneak preview I gave myself at the warehouse. So I bought it :)
  • Phantom - ... I can't remember what its about.
I've already started with Inkheart and I love it. I looove it. I admire Mo (star of the .. book) :) I do I do I do I do I do. HEEEEEYYYYYY what happened to Mamma Mia? I haven't heard about it for awhile.

I think I might've gotten back my love for reading. I got bored of it after heaps of chick lits. ): They all end the same I don't know why I bothered with so many.

So tomorrow I have mandarin tuition in the morning, rehearsal in the afternoon - evening and serious studying to do at night. I think I'll make it before Monday :) No no .. positive thinking. I KNOW I'll make it before Monday.

Promises promises :)

I need to update my blog.

:) After physics tuition. PROMISE.

May 3, 2009

I'm back home :) [Ballroom comp+ AI contest]

After a tiring weekend (that went by very quick, I must add). But I had so much fun, a little tense but definitely fun.

I left for Penang around noon on Friday. Slept for half the journey, as for the other half, I surprised myself by being able to accomplish the whole of chapter one of Add Maths. I have a little trouble with inverse functions, I'll need to find myself a tutor that can sit with me for max 15 minutes and explain a little :) (chyeah, it's add maths, i'll need a week)

So anyway.

The day of the competition.

When I got to the hall we'd be competing, my heart dropped only the slightest. The floor was tiled, meaning it's gonna be slippery and the worst of the worst would be to slip, AND be tripped on. There'll be 18 couples (COUPLES, that means 36 people) on the floor in the category I was to compete in. And there's two heats, meaning there are 36 couples and only 6 would compete in the finals later at night.

Sean and I waited for the rest from WDA to arrive. After they did we rehearsed a little on the floor. I got dressed, the atmosphere got a little more tense than before ...

and we begin the event at 12.30nn.

I competed in Beginners Cha Cha, and Beginners Rhumba. After our first round, against the other 36 couples, the judges were to select 24 couples to head onto the quarter finals. I was watching and cheering on for our fellow dance mates with everyone else on the floor. And Belman tapped me on the shoulder, he says, "You've made it. Cha Cha and Rhumba."

More cheering after the good news.

And it was again our turn to compete in the beginners quarter finals. This time therer was only one heat. All 24 couples on the floor. And from that 24, the judges will pick 12 couples to move on to semi finals.

I felt good about the Cha Cha. The rhumba was a little messy.

Again, while the other categories went on, I cheered with everyone else :)

A few categories went by, and I decided to go check the results board.

My heart fell when I didn't see the number '34' on the list of the couples moving on to semi finals for Beginners Rhumba.

But we made it for Cha Cha :)

So. 12 couples on the floor, competing for one of the 6 available spots for the finals later that night.

We didn't make it after that. Stopped at semifinals.

But I had a lot of fun :)

This morning, we left Penang at 7am, so I'd make it back in time for the hitz.fm + Starworld contest to win a pair of tickets to LA for the American Idol finals. All I can say is that it was a fun event :) It was like monopoly. You're supposed to collect golden tickets as you go around the board. You win tickets by answering questions correctly a/o performing wild card challenges. The challenges were funny, although I must admit, some of the questions were tough.

I didn't win.

So I guess instead of the theatre in LA watching Adam Lamber and Allison Iraheta live, I'll be in school doing my add maths exam.

But I had fun, anyway. Millie was there !! :D

Each contestant was given an Idol t-shirt we had to wear throughout the event. Each t-shirt had names of the contestants from American Idol season8. I got Adam Lambert :) Whooohooo. In the goodie bags we got, they gave us AI speakers, 2 albums (david cook and jennifer hudson) and movie tickets to x-men.

Oh well. :) Fun weekend.  Back to school tomorrow.

[pictures of the comp will be up soon, i hope. nothing much though]

Romeo Romeo.

Where art thou thee Romeo?

Did I spell that right?

will be leaving for Pinang tomorrow around noon. Probably before lunchtime. I'm just really tired right now. Got home from Eng. Lit, went straight to Physics tuition and then straight to the last dance practice before the competition.

And I'm worn out.

During physics i had one of those zonk-out-day-dream moments. :\ yeah that happens quite often. i want to write a song. :) just one song. That alone would take months.  But I think it'll be fun.

So uh . Yeah.

Familiar Hello

Here come the weekend.

:) Oh I can't wait.

April 24, 2009

What's in a name?

That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

I just got home from KLPAC. Went to watch  "From the Page and Onto the Floor" with the Form 4 English Literature class. I didn't wear the sea green dress I planned to, didn't feel like a dress night. Latifah's dress was really cute and her hair added the cuteness but in a dont mess with me kind of way. I don't know what she see is wrong about her new hair cut. I sure don't see anything. Make it work.

The play was good :) Shakespeare has always been such an inspiration all over and it wasn't until today when I realized exactly how amazing his work was. I loved Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet.

I loved how Shakespeare could put the feeling of 'love' into words. Usually we're lost for words, or words just couldn't describe the overwhelming feeling of it all (not talking outta experience :] Lots of romantic movies in the past, people), but Shakespeare managed to do so. How he made Romeo put his feelings to words, Bravo :)

Hah I've been living under a rock. Shakespeare. is amazing.

I saw Tria after the play. I'm sorry if I seemed a little awkward or dull. I was just really really tired and dehydrated.    :)

Work your magic, 2009.

2009 has been great so far :)

the 4 months have been amazing. A little downs here and there, but nothing a little 'You can do it' spirit can't handle.

This morning, as I got ready for school (in super slow motion), I had hitz.fm on the radio. JJ and Ean gave the cue to call for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the American Idol Finale in LA. Which is in about 4 weeks I think?

So in the short period of about 5 seconds, I said to myself, "Go for it. What are the chances, but no harm trying." So I ran downstairs, picked up the phone and punched in the number.

Busy.

Tried again.

Busy.

By this time the eagerness striked me. I had to try again.

Only at the 6th try I got through. Ring ring ring. A dude picked up and said, "Whats the password?" HAha I had a Harry Potter common room moment right there. I gave him the password and he put me on hold.

Seconds later JJ and Ean were on the other line. They asked the question. "Who performed last night?" And immediately I said (lol, it was on the edge of shouting), "DAVID ARCHULETA!". And the other side got really loud. lol. Soooo, yeah. Theres gonna be a final round, in that round the people that got through will have to answer questions about the past, present and future (?)  of American Idol from season 1 the the current one.

So I got to school. All happy and what. I had nothing to do in class, so I decided I'll count the weeks left before AI Finales. Just in case I do win the tickets (what are the chances), I want to know the rough date.

): And a total killer.

The week of AI finales might be the same week Sri Aman's mid year exams are going on ): (very very high chance)

Things can't always go the way you'd like them to. We'll see how things work out :)

When life gives you lemons, make Iced Lemon Tea.

We had an exhibition at school today.

And today I felt SO much better about what's my pathway after SPM. I'm not too sure about it, but at least I get to study something I'm comfortable in, and can still do performing arts as a hobby. I'm probably gonna take the ADP in either psychology or mass comm. And in my two years in the US (hopefully I'll get accepted into Michigan Technology University - or something like that), I'll make time for auditions and performances and stuff like that. It's either MTU or University of Oregon. What I like about Oregon is that it 'sounds' really peaceful there. Theres a lot of activites available. And California, LA, and New York isn't too far away either. It'll be fun visiting as many states of the country as time allows.

And whats best is that it's tax free (as what the lady at the INTO college stand told me). So yeah. But I don't hear/read much about performing arts in Oregon.

Why the US? Their performing arts is ... flexible? Performing Arts in the UK is awesome too. But for now, the ADP system seems much easier. Oh and sorry if I got any steps wrong/completely misunderstood the system. I only got my rough pathway this afternoon.

Nontheless, that's my rough plan for my first step :)

Study a course, get a degree in something solid, and performing arts comes in as a hobby. And I'm fine with that. As long as in the future, I have a solid job, and I get to do some theatre, I'm happy. Of course, prince charming and a happy family is what I'm looking forward to too.

The future is such a scary thing to think about. But I'm looking forward to it :) But what I'm sure of, is that one day in the future, mummy and I will have our visit to the Maccu Piccu village in Peru on my expense. And daddy will get to visit the Wonders of the World - also on my expense.

I pray, for lemons.

So that I can make lemonade. And hopefully some tea too. So we'll have not just lemonade, but Lemon Tea. If I can get ice, we'll have ICED lemon tea :)

But for now, let's go for the lemonade.

heh :) sorry, this was too adorable.

Is it really worth it.

When am I gonna find my Dimitri ?

Urgh the things fantasy movies can make you feel. Call it corny, but I've always wished for my very own fairy tale. My very own disney princess story. My very own perfect other half, not the other half you'd have to spend 5 years getting to know to know if he's the one. The one you dance with for 5 seconds and know, he's the one :)

I've always wanted my very own happy ending.

I imagine a world where everything is simple. I'll only get myself into a jumble of 'thought webs' if I go deeper. So I'll just end it here. I want a world, where everything is simple.

URGH. Disney makes you feel so good when you're watching the movie. Once it's over, you just feel so .. so ... "aww maaan". I envy Disney characters.

Oh grow up.

Duwan.
