Of old friends, jelly, broadway, and a very orange Megan Chng

I woke up this morning, just in time for an hour of gaming on the game console before I had to get ready for ballroom class. Belman got a tan :) I think it may be unintended, and also a new haircut. lol, probably his new years resolution - to look more Malaysian :) NAWW thats too mean, he still looks like our latin dance teacher, Belman.

ANYWAY. We had some changes to the cha cha routine. Exams in May-ish June-ish and I can't wait. 'Cos it means I'll be able to get my latin shoes pretty soon :P :P. We've covered the Waltz, and a little bit of Tango, and today I learned the Quickstep :) ! Which I think is my favourite among the standard ballroom dances ... so far.

After that, I took a 45 minute nap at home. When I got up, Aizat was already at the house and we had to leave for DTB rehearsal. After costume fitting, we watched a dvd of broadway songs. Which is really cool, cos I really love love love the songs they have on Broadway. :) Among the songs we heard today, I liked On My Own, sang by Lea Salonga and I think is from the musical Les Miserables.

Just before we left aunty Farah's place. :) Alan turned off some of the lights, so it was pretty dim. Everyone (but our dear Krystle) was ready and waited for our cue, aaaand ...

Happy Birthday to you :)
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Biiirthday to Krryyysstle
Happy Birthday to you :)
*cheer cheer cheer*

Yeaap :) Before we got to rehearsal, Sean bought a cake for Krystle. I hope she hasn't stopped celebrating her 17 birthday, cos I think she deserves to celebrate for a little longer, don't you think so too? :)

CNY dinner at auntie Moy Lee's was good. Ace and Don left just a few moments after we arrived, for a movie at Sunway. I couldn't stop helping myself to the orange glass jelly ): They were soo .. addictive.

I changed and freshened up (which really didn't do much to my energy-drained-look, really) and was on my way from Shah Alam to Megans CNY dinner at Kelana Jaya. I didn't realize where the CNY dinner was held was the same place the family and I went for a spontaneous lunch-spot choice once :) .

When I got there, Alia and Megan greeted me with arms wide open :) A HUG WAS IN CUE! :D So what did I do?

I hug laah.

Then suddenly, from the corner of my eye I saw about five or six people coming our way, and in my head I thought, "My god did I arrive so late everyone else was already leaving?!". When I focused my a little bit more, I realized I knew all of the five or six people :)

Isaac George    Sara George    Nasha Raina    Christopher Saw    Lydia Wong

aannd this last person was holding a camera which covered half ... well actually the whole of the top of her face. Couldn't stop taking pictures, the flash was blinding but I could tell the way the person moved was freakishly familiar :)

Mae : OMIGOD I know her! :D Trisher!

*looks at Megans

Mae : *whispers* Trisher, right?

And it wass! :D Said hi to everyone, everyone said hi and we all sat down a their already-eaten-and-now-we're-having-a-chit-chat-cum-gamble-gamble-fun-time table :) Tonight would be the first night I was with people gambling actual money and not, Monopoly colorful paper money, or peanuts, or math sticks. :) It was real money, and it felt so ... real :) Overwhelming.

It was really fun catching up with everybody. Especially Miss Alia Astaman, Isaac+Sara George, and Nasha Raina. It was nice meeting new people too! Aaron and Lydia. I couldn't stop saying pretty dumb stuff, but after a couple of us had some fancy named drinks, they couldn't stop saying dumb stuff either.

It would take me ... more than three blog posts to type out every single conversation .. well I wouldnt call it a conversation. it was more of a .. laughersation. So I'll round it off to a .. It was a wonderful fun fun fun time :)

Thank you Megan Chng for inviting me :) I had a lot of fun.

January 30, 2009

(: It's not over yeet

Inka's tired. So am I. But I fret I might forget the details of todays outing, so I'll type like Speed and hopefully get this done by 1am.

Inka, Alia, Alesia and ourselves (Siti, Sean and I) planned to meet up at Taman Paramount LRT station at 10.30am. So we can all go to Kelana Jaya train station together and probably take the bus to Sunway. My mom could've sent us, but there were wayyy too many people to squeeze into our little MyVi. I wouldn't want to pressure our MyVi in to thinking we expect too much from her :)

I learned how to count to ten in Italian! :D Siti, Sean, Alesia, Alia, Inka, Lim and Hubba bare witness. I can also say, "Do you like Italy?" in Italian! :D So far thats how wide my Italian-vocab span stretched. :)

We walked around in Sunway for a bit. Sean and I had our 'brekkie' at Ccozi and Friends :) Simply cos we wanted the Extreme Chicken Fried or something like that. Literally, I had to get up, and walk around Asian Avenue in hopes it'll help the burning sensation on my tongue. It did help, by the way. The waiters and waitresses, I could feel, were laughing at me :) pish posh, I enjoyed the meal anyway.

I found a small shop that sold boas and colorful afro wigs. For rm20 instead of the jaw-dropping rm100 at Axezz. I wanted to buy it, but then Sean spotted a 'coke ad' sign and we thought it'll be funny .. ehh .. I mean, sweet, to get it for Faisal. (Faisal loves Coke .. like, really really loves Coke)

Met up with Krystle and her friends :) Wished her a very Happy 17th birthday. :) Her friends are very nice. Nishan (I hope I spelt his name right) made jokes and I think he's pretty witty for a 16 going on 17 year old :) Ice skating was fun. Had some mishaps, but ... all was well, just a little bit of limping for one of us (: Hope he's alright now, though.

We watched a movie! Bride Wars was the choice (: OH I LOVED IT. Shouldn't take my word for it, I love almost every movie I watch. :) But oooh, I loved it. I was pretty close to tears, towards the ending, but i think P.S. I Love You dried away my tears.

I just found out, that WDA will be having a karaoke thing at night, after ballroom class. I don't think I can make it cos we'll be having a CNY dinner at Aunty Moy Lee's all the way in Shah Alam. I really want to go ):

And lastly, to dear Krystle Koh Shao Phing

You should be celebrating your 17th the best you can. You should be given the best 17th bday day. Because Krystle, you deserve every bit of happiness and joy in this world, a person like you.

Mom, we need more tissues )':

I just finished watching P.S. I Love You.

): I cried my eyes dry. No, no ... I cried so hard, a crying baby would've stopped crying and stared at me weird ): i cried so hard I have to call my mum, to remind her to buy more tissue before she gets home.

And I don't know why I cried for most parts of the movie. I'm thinking its just the sweetness of Jerry. Or maybe it was about love staying, leaving, and/or given back ):

I don't even know what I'm saying.

I'm hopeless when it comes to movies that require pillows, and a corner of tissue boxes.

P.S : I think I have a thing for singing Irish men.

Jokerhahfahafa

MidValley outing with The Table was okay :) We had lunch at delicious. Food there was ... delici :) no 'ous' because .. I think the shepherds pie at Mr. Pie is better than the pie there. But a definitely lets-have-lunch-there-again-able.

Lat, Trish and I bought the hippie band thing from Diva. :D Wore it around MidValley for a bit. The thing gave me a headache, and a few 'haaa?' stares from random people in the mall, but walking with the other two, also with their hippie headband made it more comfortable.

We went bowling at Cosmic Bowl. ): Not a good place to bowl. It's okay, I guess, in the sense of glow in the dark pins and bowling balls. But the place was too dark, the music was too blasting loud, it drained so much energy just to talk to someone. So we all ended up not talking.

I BOUGHT BLACK TIGHTS :D

Tomorrow will be heading off to Sunway for a certain someone's certain special day :D I can't wait. I have jokes to tell ya'll :D :D ahhh.

And I finaaallly bought the P.S. I Love You dvd. YAYY :D I wanted The Notebook but they didn't have it so this was second in line. People say the notebook was a little better, but I'm still curious about PS I love you :D

  A little 'eehhh'-ish. But totally unexpected :)

Talk about 'Welcome to the White House'

I don't know if ya'll have heard this, but my brother told me he heard it on the radio.

On inauguration day, after Obama's daughters watched their dad sworn in as America's 44th President, Malia and Sasha were welcomed into their new home in Washington D.C.

According to ABC News, the girls embarked on a scavenger hunt around the house. And guess what was the prize when the girls found it behind a door?

Yeaah. thats the kind of kinks you get being daughters of the president of the united states :D lol.

Labels Labels Labels.

I think it was around the end of last year when I said I was going to label every single on of my posts.

:\ well that didn't work out.

Sometimes I have no idea what should I label the post.

So from today onwards. I'm going to label the post whatever it really is about, and not care about how long my label list becomes.

:\ :\ :\

I just came home from Penang :) yayy! Right now am craving for a good 2 hours of Spanglish and/or Brandon Routh (in his Clark Kent glasses). :D nyeeehahahah.

and ...

Home Sweet (sweet sweet sweet!) Home

The family will be driving home to KL today. :) A 3 hour car ride with my battery-dead iPod and sister who insists on sleeping on my lap. Bring it on. :)

CNY was relatively good :) The want to visit the mall was forgotten.

Chinese New Year lunch was with a talk with Auntie Grace, Uncle Kee, Cherrie and my mum about future studies -.- That didn't bore me too much cos I really am clueless about studies after high school. So, yay for the future-studies-conversation!! I couldn't help but giggle a little when in the midst of our serious conversation, my grandmother came out from the kithcen and went, "KAIII FAAANN!!" :D it means .. well I dont know .. i think it means "open rice". :D no la. Means we can start eating.

I've missed two weeks of ballroom class. One was due to the class being replaced on Sunday, and I couldn't go cos I had rehearsal. Second was because of the CNY holidays. ): I have yet to buy the shoes, though. But seeing as how tight the shoe has to be ... maybe I'll wait a little longer :D. Naww I'm pretty excited about the pinch-y shoes, and ... blisters.

Watching Chinese game shows on tv reminded me of the diabolo. I used to play it when I was eleven or twelve, I think. After std 6 the diabolo stayed in the store room and has been forgotten of ever since. Maybe I'll let it come out for a nice 5 minutes of fresh air :) And chuck it back in when I get tired. :P nyeeh

The family visited Ace and Don who're also here in Penang for their CNY celebrations. We went to pantai merdeka and had one of the best laksa's I've tasted. :) LOL Laksa at the beach. How often do you hear of that? But no, thats not the only thing they had.

There was ice kacang at the beach as well! :D

Better be packing. I'm getting weird stares from the lobby people again. :)

tootle-oo! :D

January 25, 2009

Happy Chinese New Year :D foor real this time

bbq at my granparents place here in Penang was really fun. Everyone was conversating in Mandarin so I had to keep up. Despite Wei Ching having to translate almost half of what my cousins were talking (well, actually, laughing) about, I could catch some of the jokes and ... well .. lol :D

My grandma is a pretty cool woman. When I got to the house, and when I left the house at around 10.30pm, she had curlers in her hair :) If its possible, when I grow up and when I'm financially stable, I'd like to bring my grandma and grandpa, and ma and pa to anywhere they'd like in the world. Preferably China. I know my parents have been there, but I'd like my grandparents to step foot on the country where their parents came from.

I dont know if they had :) LOL. But I'd like to bring them there anyway. Its pretty cool when you think about it. I read history, about the China men that come on boats, leaving their homeland, leaving their families to come to Malaya. It never hit me that my great-grandparents could've been one of those men.

ANYWAY :D back to the present time.

My sister and I watched the fireworks from our hotel room window. :) It seemed like they could be going on till next years chinese new year, so I went to sleep.

:) I'm at the hotel lobby waiting for my family. They're cantik-ing themselves before we leave for my grandparents house. Mummy says before we go home we have to have the cendol on the island, and the ice kacang here on the mainland. :) LOL it's sort of tradition, everytime we're in Penang. Cendol and Ice kacang is a must must. must must with a post it to remember.

Internet here at the hotel lobby is GREAT :D HAHH. HAHH. I try to ignore the stares I get from people. :) A little boy was staring at me, I smiled at him and when I was about to wish him a Happy Chinese New Year, he ran away ):

I'm in love with little kids. :) Theyre .. so ... cute

AIYOO SO CUTE :D

Talk about a new look.

I cut my fringe! :D

It wasn't exactly how I imagined it to be, but I'm pretty much okay with it. Didn't get to go to Bangsar cos I completely forgotten about my 5pm physics tuition in SS2, so daddy brought me somewhere at SeaPark. When the lady there snipped my hair off, I was about to shriek and ask if it I could glue it back, or make it seem like nothing was chopped off. :\ I had to keep reminding myself, no regrets. no regrets.

And there was none! :D I'll post up a picture when I can. I'm in Penang right now, celebrating CNY with my mothers side of the family. So far its been really fun. I just came back form a bbq at my grandma's place with my cousins. I havent laughed-so-hard-till-it-felt-like-an-ab-exercise. :)

Reactions to The Fringe :)

When I walked into Physics tuition
Abigail : you know, when you opened the door, I asked 'who's the new girl." hahahaa.

When Aizat saw Sean and myself at the food court in KLCC
Aizat : .... mm ... doesnt work on you la. :) lol *but at the end of the day he said it looked okay okay.

This one's one of the bests reactions so far :D lol

Aizat, Sean, Tariq and Alan were at the food court having their breakfast-lunch meal. When Alan went to get his food, I joined the boys but sat one table behind. When Alan sat down, he didn't notice. Okay, fine . BUT, Aizat pointed at me and Alan turned around, looked at me and said...

Alan : Who's that?

HAH :D

I got positive feedback from QAASIM, though. They really comforted me about my haircut, I was beginning to feel like cutting my hair was a majorly major mistake. So shaaank you, you guyyysss! :D

Before rehearsal started.
Mae : *while linking arms with Inka* HI KELVIN!

Kelvin : O.o who are you?

Inka and Mae laughs uncontrollably.

Now this was mid-rehearsal
Mae : *pulls fringe back*

Amelia : MAE!

Mae : *puts down fringe

Amelia : No Mae ):

Mae : *pulls fringe back*

Amelia : MAE!

Mae : *puts down fringe*

Amelia : No mae ):

Happy Chinese New Year! :) okay, well .. be-early

Our family might be going off to P. Pinang this Sunday. For a chinese new year celebration with popo and gong gong (grandma+grandpa). But thats only if daddy's stavic is ready from the .. shop thingy. Mummy told me the car took longer in service this time because they were waiting for parts to come all the way from Korea. So my solution was ... POST LAJU LAAAA!

I can't sleep. Took a six hour nap after school, and now i can't sleep.

Staying back in school and helping out with the class deco was fun yesterday (21.1.09). New Sun Ann (AJK K&K), Trishi (AJK Kepochi :P), Lydiya Razan (AJK I-missed-accounts-so-I'll-help-out-with-deco), Melissa Koay (AJK always-there-for-us) and myself (AJK Kepochi #2) did the deco. Our class theme this year is 'Go Green'. So the whole class had to cut out leaves from green paper and we stayed back to put them up.

Trishi couldn't stop singing her Lovin' You - Minnie Riperton song. She got me singing that song as well, and Mel cracked up whenever we'd hit the impossibly-high-note. We .. well ... I had so much fun yesterday. I think the board looks really good now that Su Ann has finished the deco.

A round of applause for Ms. New!

English Literature was .. productive :) We learned how to compromise in a marriage. LOL, okay fine, the topic didn't pop out out of mere randomness. We were discussing Cinderella Girl and used marriage as an example.

But outside of the Kuliah Bakti, in the gallery and the gym, there were auditions, clinics and castings going on. I won't say much about the casting other than there WAS a casting, cos I don't have much details and wouldnt want to give wrong info. That would be a major uh-oh. But the Sri Aman Idol auditions, lol, organized by Kelab Drama+Tarian was held in the gym.

Elsheba, Su Ann and myself were being the 3 Kepochis going around the gallery and checking out the happenings there. We saw Noviah and gave her moral support for her audition. I didn't see much of the cheer clinic, but they had a big turnout, so good luck to the cheerleaders this year for your CHEER09. You've managed to rock socks off, now aim for the shoes.

Trishi and Lat aren't attending the drama workshop tomorrow. I'm able to, but the timing might be a bit off for my dad's schedule. But I think I still am staying back.

I'm going to get my fringe tomorrow! :) Thats if daddy is in the mood to drive all the way to bangsar.

): I just found out today what I should've known years ago. Will talk about it tomorrow. I'm finally feeling sleepy.

OH YEAH. And I just found out my dad played Horatio in the play, Hamlet during his Uni years.  :D :D :D :D Wooot! Gooo daddy! I never knew my dad was into the whole performing arts thing. :) What he doesn't know is that I've heard him sing before :D :D ... or maybe he does ... I dunno ):

see you tomorrow when the homework stops chasing me around.

January 20, 2009

hahah! :)

You Are Powerful and Determined
You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.
You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.
You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

HAHAHAH! :) yeaahhh right.

Exhaustion ): aahh

Just came home from house practice and BOY am I tired.

Nothing much happened today. I'm hoping the day will seal with a good two hours of confusing add maths with Jing Wei and Shaheera. I promised to bring Jing Wei perfume, seeing as she came straight from house practice, to tuition, to the add maths tuition later at 8pm.  lol.

The juniors this year are pretty enthusiastic about green house. I think that sort of pumped up the green house spirit in the seniors. Which is a good thing. I really love sports day and I want this year to be a blast. pleeaaase oh pleaaase.

Theres so many things I want to do. So many things I want.

One thing at a timmmeee, I sometimes tell myself. :( But theres onee thing I'll neeever have. grr. pfft, I'll make it up for something else. and thaaats ....

To be a disney princess ):

hahah :) naaww, there really is something. But maybe, I guess, it's just another girly girly fantasy thing. I need less of those and a bigger chunk of reality in me. Any idea where they sell reality in a jar?

Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong time era. But of course, then the wonderful people in my life now remind me of a life without them couldn't be bearable. But yeah, sometimes I wish to live the life of those in the victorian times. Ok, no. Too far. Maybe the 'pride and prejudice movie'? yeah .. that time era. What's it called, again? :D

So beautiful :)

Choo says ..

Yesterday's rehearsal was awesome :) Was really fun. I miss all of them already. Knowing the show is so near (*coughcough*2 more rehearsals, people*coughcough*), I don't like the thought of not seeing those weirdo's .. eh .. i mean, awesome people weekly.

After I said bye to everyone else, just before we walked into Suria KLCC from Tower 1, Krystle and I said bye to two brothers >:)

Krsytle and Mae : *looking at both Kelvin and Alfred* Bye, choo choo!

:D :D :D :D :D

and then later as we walked further .. Vernon walked towards Kelvin and Alfred (Kelvin and Alfred's younger brother), we couldnt resist but ....

Krystle and Mae : *looking at Kelvin, Alfred and Vernon* Bye, choo choo choo!

:D :D :D :D :D

Their surname is Choo :) yeaaah, that was the laaame joke I came up with 2 weeks before. I hope they didn't take it the wrong way :) Promise we won't do it again :)

There were about four people playing chinese instruments in Suria. :) My gosh I've always wanted to learn how to play a chinese instrument. I like the sound, it's so soothing, so calm. Goh Jing Wei knows how to play a chinese instruments ): Lucky girl. I regret not taking up lessons during my primary years.

The instrument I wish I knew how to play would be the Gu Zheng

That also reminds me about the chinese fan dance. grrr (:

I guess thats it for now :)

I knoowww my braain! :)

I hustled packing my bag this morning, seeing as last night I was too tired to do so.

:\ when I got to school, I found out we didn't need any of our books today cos it was P.M.D. day :\ wahaaa I completely forgot. PMD is Program Maju Diri :) it's a thing secondary schools do yearly. So today the school invited a Dr. Peter Shephard to give us a talk about the brain.

To be honest, I was really very interested in what he wanted to say. Didn't catch much, though. There was noise and so I had to strain to hear what he said but nonetheless I caught some stuff, anyway. He had us take a short quiz to find out what colored 'birdie' were we before grouping us according to the color. I was a green birdie, said to be the organized type :\ Honestly I thought I was on the line between red (the creative creative type :P, chehh chehh), and the green, but leaning more towards the red. Guess I was wrong, or maybe I didn't do the quiz right.

Anyway! He gave each and every one of the form 4's balloons, also according to the group color. After that, it was mainly talk talk talk :) and listen listen listen.

Lat and I finally tried the 'roti john' in the canteen. It was yummy. It tasted like a coney dog but with barbeque sauce and much more delicious. :) And then I tried the corn ice cream they had, Lat and I love it :) So our official ice cream flavours in school would be ... yam. corn. strawberry. Lat likes the mint as well :) but i dont. :P nyeeh.

I was helping a couple of teachers in the teachers office, but i left my green balloon in the hall. When I got back, everyone had burst their balloons, and someone burst mine ):

So I went to where Evelyn, Kim X, Ami and all were and asked if they had a green balloon I could have :) They did.

AND THEN, I saw sanuja and oh so innocently greeted her. :P. And She burst my balloon with her pen !! ): So I had to go back and get another balloon. :) I got a bigger balloon this time. Here's a little photo session with my balloon and Dr. Peter Shephard.

I don't know bout you guys, but I thought today was really fun :) well ... interesting, at least.

And then I got home ... and someone had to ruin my day ): To be honest, I don't know why i care so much. But I know I still do. Whatever lah, I'll get over it. It's just the matter of the right medicine. Should start now :)

OH LOOK! PRETTY NOTEBOOK :) all cured :P

January 16, 2009

Physics tuition was the bomb :)

I sat next to Abigail ... who chose to sit right in front, lol. Which kind of worried me cos the last time I sat in front during physics, I was sooo close to dozing off. And the teacher was like a foot away from me.

But our teacher couldn't make it for the lesson. His car broke down somewhere at a toll near Klang, I think. The mechanics managed to reach Mr. Yeoh's car at around 6.30pm ... our class was supposed to begin at 5pm. LOL. The class ends at 7.15pm so we all knew Mr. Yeoh wouldnt make it in time, so did Uncle Chan. So uncle Chan let us either stay in the air conditioned room, or ring up our parents.

Jing Wei, Abigail, Kim K, Namisha and I talked talked talked and talked some more. There was a lot of laughing as well. :) And that people, was what made physics tuition the bomb. :)

Karangan tuition was .. scary. I didn't expect the teacher to be as strict as he is .. but he is very strict. Which is good in the sense that I won't dare slack off, but it also means I can't wind down until about 9.30pm. Like, I can't relax until the clock strikes half past nine.

So ANYWAY! :) After tuition, mummy brought us to kayu to have a light dinner - sister was hungry. After the light dinner, I went to wash my hands and from the corner of my eye, I thought I saw Kim K, but I didn't say anything cos we were about to go and i wasn't even sure if it was her cos she was facing the opposite direction.

BUT. I did see the guy from last years ICC. this guy was like bolt lightning during the ICC preparations, he ran around the hall, up and down, trying to get the sound system at its best. Maula and about .. three other people were there too. Sooo ... I saw Kim and people from ICC08 on the same night, at the same place! :) cool.

See you at school! :)

One more time ! :)

Classes were as usual. Add Maths is starting to make more sense now. :) hooorah.

We had the sports house meeting today. Green house had their meeting in the cantee ( -.- wtf ). But I don't blame anyone in particular, if it's gonna be like that, it's gonna be like that. Nominations and the voting thing went okay. It was a little messy though ..

Okay fine .. 'messy' isn't the correct word. I'd say 'official' is more like it. Back when we were form one (2006), eventhough we only voted for the afternoon session committee board, it felt so exciting, so official. From President, to the vice, secretary so on so on. This year .. we didn't so much as vote for our president, it was more like picked from last years committee. No offense to this years green house pres, in fact, I would've voted for her anyway.

When we were to vote for our prez, the teacher just said, "Okay, who was last years naib presiden?" Ofcourse it would make sense if we did it that way, but it felt so ... informal. :\ WHERE ARE THE WORDS?! :( But if we're going to do it like that every year, if thats how its supposed to work, then personally, I think the excitement of the sports house's first meeting just isn't there anymore. I know it's time consuming, but it pumps up the spirit. And spirit is what's most important when it comes to sports houses. Well, at least I think so.

Don't get me wrong. I'm ecstatic about our this year's sports house prez, I honestly think she's gonna do a wonderful job and present green house at its best. Congrats, Fiofa Najat :) woot woot to the hoot.

I'm thinking about joining senam robik this year :) hahah. But being in the march is also very very exciting. Ah you know what, I'll stick to marching. Can't wait for merentas desa :)

January 15, 2009

Whats pressure to you?

To me?

To me, pressure hits me (and really really hard) when it comes to deciding my future career. Today we had to stand in front of the class and tell everyone what your game plan was after taking the SPM examinations during our civics lesson.

I still have no idea what I want to specialize in. Maybe I'll figure it out sooner or later (better soon, thank you). My problem is, I'm appealed to many things, too many I can't figure out which one to strive for. But for now, I guess I'll just be the teenager I am, only three more years and hello adulthood. I'll do my best academically and see where it takes me.

So, I guess thats my game plan. Achieve the best I can, broaden my choices, and later figure out what I want to do with my future self. But the one thing I'm certain I want to do is, when I'm stable (financially), I'll be helping out in charity functions and do my all to help those in need around the world. :) Anyone'd like to ride with me in that boat?

January 14, 2009

Hoo hoo hoo HOO!

School was interesting.

Can't go into detail. I have tons of homework waiting and I'm leaving for piano class in like fifteen minutes. To summarize ...

  • Had a discussion about this years debate team :) Am very very very excited.
  • Megan, Trisher and Lydiya gave me a crash course on courses and syllabus(s) during Physics class
That was the main highlight of the day, I guess.

Anywayy! I've picked the three pieces I'll be playing for my grade 8 piano practical examination next year. So right now the sweating starts. I think around october or november, blood starts to come in. And then the pain would be around February or March next year :)

Yeah I don't know what I'm talking about either. ON THE PLUS SIDE, alot of people updated their blog! I like reading blogs just as much as I like writing one. tootle-loo!

January 13, 2009

AHHH!

Jing Wei sits beside me in Add Maths tuition, aaaaaaand ....

Both of us was on the verge of slamming our workbooks shut and just sulk in our seats. SOOO FRUSTRATING. Add Maths is fun and exciting, but complicated. Maybe tons and tons of exercises will help. My goodness gracious me, I really hope it does.

Want proof add maths messes with the sanity of our minds? .. Convo of the day..

Latifah : The stupidest thing just happened just now.

Mae+Trishi : What?

Latifah : The canteen tosai is 80 cents, right? So I gave the lady a five ringgit note and eighty cents and said, "Sorry I don't have 80 cents so I'll give you five ringgit and eighty cents.

Mae+Trishi ; HAHAHAHAH! Number One.

'number one' is an inside joke thing. :)

I have so much homework and stuff to do. Sometimes, being a vampire has its advantages.

In this case ...
Being able to finish homework by the due date since vampires don't have to sleep.

I'd better get started on mine ...

I'm not a vampire, remember?

): Do I plan the funeral?

I can't find me phone ): I searched high and low, left and right, up and down, turn it upside down and I still couldnt find my green pebble ): I really really really love that phone. It doesn't have awesome beyond awesome applications or anything, I'm just attached to my stuff :)

I remember looking for Siti's number on my phone yesterday morning before rehearsal. I can't remember if I brought it to KLCC but I know I didn't have it with me by the time we've had lunch at KLCC. I dread I lost the phone at KLCC cos that way I know I'll never get it back. I'm still hoping of it to be in my dads car or somewhere in the house.

Rehearsal yesterday was fun :) We had a bigger space to rehearse in so that was awesome. I was still a little moody, hope I didn't bring down anyone else's mood. But by lunch I was laughing and being weird with the bunch again :). Krystle and I paparazzi-ed Alfred and Carmen practicing their latin dance routine, lol. Grr. Both of us gaaaah-ed over Alfred's sharp turns and Carmen's mad skills. But thats not it, people. I also gaaaah-ed over Carmen's dancing in My Strongest Suit, Alfred's jumps in I Hope I Get It and Kelvin's cowboy walk in Kansas City. They're .. aweesome.

Kelvin told me 9 (or was it 12) of the worlds top latin couples will be coming to Genting for a performance! I've told my mom about it and I'm hoping we'll be able to make it. I'm almost 100% certain the tickets will be jaw dropping-ly expensive, it won't only burn a hole in your pocket, it might burn your whole pantaloons, people. But I hope we'll make it. Michael Malitowski is coming :) I liiiike him. hahah.

Convo of the day?  :)

Mae : Guys, do you know what I'm craving for right now?

Krystle+Inka : What?

Mae : A boyfriend.

Inka : What?!

Krystle : Yeaaahh! Someone there to care for you.

Mae : Yeaah. But like, you can't get that kind of care from just anyone.

Krystle : Yeah. Your best friend will give you the attention but a boyfriend can give you 'the care'.

HAHAHAHHA :) Juuuust goofing off. I don't gaga over boyfriends. puul-eeaaase :P lol. jaa kidding.

Krsytle and Cheryl came with us after rehearsal. :D Daddy hadn't reached KLCC yet so we went notebook shopping!! :) I'm sort of obsessed with pretty notebook covers. I love buying them and adding 'em onto my shelf but I have no idea what to use them for. I bought a notebook with a tribal themed cover. It's really pretty. I plan to use it as a journal, not a daily diary thing, just to note down my opinion on things. Or things I have interest in :)

School was cool. Mr Cheah didn't come in for Add Maths today. I was really hoping he did cos add maths homework is a living nightmare. I'd do the equation half way and after that there was just nooo wayyy out. We have add maths tomorrow, so I hope Mr Cheah comes in so that the nightmare can stop living. I need a short nap right now, just to get refreshed before homework hour.

I can't wait for the sports house meeting this friday. :)

Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Dopy and the other three I can't remember

We had a discipline taklimat today. It was pretty funny, especially when Pn C took over the mic and started speaking so frankly I couldn't help but smuggle a giggle here and there. Trishi wanted the taklimat to be over a.s.a.p., she didn't want to miss another add maths lesson. Neither did I, we only have two periods (if I'm not mistaken) of add maths a week. And thats one of the toughest subjects! And we only get about two hours with our teacher? Even so, one of the add maths period is an alternative with bio. :\

Mr Cheah was hilarious! He came into the class and already the girls couldn't stop laughing. We weren't making fun of him or anything. We just found it funny how he zoomed so fast, and how after every step of an equation he'd go, "Okay ah? Everyone understand, ah?" But he doesn't wait for an answer, :) he just continues teaching. Which is pretty cool ya' know? He doesn't waste any time, and he expects us to understand. It keeps us like, on our toes cos we really can't afford to miss out on anything in add maths.

Physics is starting to look more humane now. I think our class is really starting to warm up to each other. The usual, when the KD goes, "4SC please lower down your voices!" and if that didn't make much of an impact to the noise in class, then you know they've settled down and everyones not very shy anymore. Either that or I really don't know how to get a class to quiet down. :)

We had the first PRS meeting of 2009. Talked about curriculum registration and Friendship Week. I can't wait to help out for friendship week. :) I also can't wait for next week and the week after. Koko gets active by the week after the next, and this year I want to have fun instead of just whine about having to go to classes. So I'll make the best out of my koko clubs this year, I hope I can.

The drama workshop was fun. Mainly we did vocal exercises and learned how to project our voices. I'm really excited about the production :) Can't wait till we're told what the drama or the plot is. Pn Hamimah says there'll be dances and singing as well. I joined to dance, actually :) So I'm pretty siked about that.

Physics was aweeeesssoome. I was a little sleepy at the beginning of tuition, but towards the end, it got really really interesting. Mr Yeoh (our tuition teacher) had presentation slides all ready to go and everything. He made the lesson like a story, you can't help but want to listen. Jing Wei, Abigail, Kim K, Namisha, Farah Jee and someone I met from Fatin's after PMR party (sorry, name escapes me :X) was there too :)

After tuition I accompanied Jean to her ballet lesson. Stopped by at CAMPAP to buy my reference books. I especially needed to get my agama reference book. I think my jawi reading has improved, but I still read very very very slowly. So to get my agama homework done, it takes hooouuurss. So I figured I'll use the text book to practice reading and the reference book to get my homework done. Yeah, I'm not hesitant to admit I can't read jawi. But I am trying, and I hope to be able to read fluently by the end of form 4. :) pleaseee oh pleeeassee.

Watching Jean and her four other ballet classmates in their lesson got the green monster waking up in me. I remember, waaay before I started primary school, my mom brought me to a ballet studio for me to see if I wanted to join. We've already bought the shoes and leotards and ballet tights and all but in the end I said no to ballet and yes to piano. I don't regret taking piano lessons, but oh how I wish I took up ballet as well.

Buuuuut nevermind. :) Maybe my sister can teach me a thing or two about ballet.

You know whatt?!

I have yet to visit the schools toilet ever since school re-opened. I shall do it tomorrow if I have the time. AND GUESS WHAT?! I did clean up my room.

Well, only my study area. but still! :) Now for the rest of the room ...

am still excited about Eng Lit. oh fast forward a little pleaaase?

Stop procrastinating already.

Honestly, how many times have I mentioned I'll clean up my room? And still still the room is so messed up I could hide some real heavy weapons and it wouldn't be detected. Graah.

I've homework! :) First pile of form four homework, and I'm super excited. I plan to clean up my room after homework (pssh, let's see if I actually do it). My mom will be making (baking/cooking?) bread pudding for later. We're gonna get yam ice cream to go with the bread pudding. Can anyone say yum yum-a-yummay? .... Yum yum-a-yummay :)

Piano lesson was the usual. I've decided to take my grade 8 practical exam next year in April. The pieces aren't impossible, they're just long and personally I think they sound weird but I think I'll grow to like the pieces. And have i ever mentioned how frustrating piano theory can be? I don't understand not one bit of what I scribbled in my workbook today. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon (oh pleeasee let it be soon), any more frustration with theory and I might just .. well I dunno what but it won't be something good :\

English Literature starts tomorrow. I'm excited, I really am. :) After Englist Lit I'll be accompanying my sister to a commercial audition she has so to go to at someplace at sometime. After that it's straight to the recording at ... well, somewhere far ... for DTB. Can't wait to see everyone again. I just hope there won't be too much homework tomorrow.

Well! Now to get started on my homework. LETS DO THIS. :)

Deja Vu

Last night before I slept, I recall my dad and brother watching Deja Vu on Star Movies. And right now, Sean's watching Deja Vu on Star Movies. DEJA VU, huhh? :) Okayy, not really but whatevs. Speaking of Deja Vu .. another Wizards of Waverly Place line I love :)

Alex : Alright, first of all, Justin do you have 5 dollars.

Justin : Yeah (takes out a 5 dollar bill). Why?

Alex : because I need 5 dollars.

Moments later

Alex : Hey Justin, do you have five ones for my five dollars?

Justin : yeah (takes out five one dollar bills). Why?

Alex : Cos my five was lonely.

Later, later on. When their dad was teaching them the time bending spell .. which results in human beings having deja vu's

Alex : Hey dad, do you have five dollars?

Dad : yeah (takes out 5 dollars). Why?

Alex  : Because I need five dollars. Deja vu huh, Justin :)

I have about two hours and forty five minutes 'till my piano lesson. I should get my room cleaned up by then, huh?

Aww :)

Change for ... well, for more eyebags :)

Hah . kidding.

Add Maths tuition was fun, I was really really excited about it. Yay for me Jing Wei is in the same class, despite being tweeny bit intimidated by her amaaazing maths skillz, I like sitting next to her in maths :) She'd glance at my workbook a few times, and she'd point out answers she didn't think was so and we'd discuss the question.

Unsurprisingly, she'd get it right, duhh. I'd stick to my answer like UHU glue, it takes quite some time for me to get what she's trying to point out. But so far the mistakes I make in my work are all causes of me not grasping what the question wants, so I'm not very very very very worried about AddMaths ... yet. If Lat was there she'd probably be saying, "Numero Uno" (but in German) so many times we'd get sick of it :P love you, Lat.

So now the only tuition I'm still anticipating would be Physics, this Friday afternoon.

I ate the leftovers for dinner when I got home. It wasn't much, in fact, it was like 5 spoon full of rice. We didn't want leftovers to take up the space in the refrigerator. I had it with the tom yam soup my mom made for dinner. I like my tom yam soups more sour than spicy, mathematically, a ratio of 3:1. And my mom gets it perfectly every time.

Every since Gina went home, the house seemed way too big to handle and laundry are impossible to finish. But my mom and I got used to it, now it's like a walk in the park, except the grass seem a little prickly at times, but it's not like we're drowning or anything. My daily routine have changed, no drastic changes, just tweaks here and there. And now that the school's each period being an hour long (so that h/w can be done at school, with the guidance of our teachers), chores at home are easier to handle.

If I can finish my homework at school, by the time I get home, I'll have time for revision, the chores and stuff I want to do. Dishes take about five minutes, so after dinner, I can iron while my mom cleans up the dining room. I'll be done by 10pm, so after I can just chill with the family instead of worry about undone homework. We have a housekeeper that comes the the house for the vacuuming and the moping thrice a week ... soo everything's going well. :) Hoorah!

Anyway ...

I have yet to clean up my room :) And my stuff aren't scattered ONLY in my room. Guests don't see the mess I make all around the house because I cover them up pretty good :) But daddy helped me move all my stuff/mess from all over the house downstairs (well, atleasy the ones he found) to one room. So tomorrow I'll have to get my room sorted out so that the mess downstairs can move into the room by tomorrow.

It's half past twelve. Sleeping any later than one in the morning, I'll face the consequence of showing up late in school. That's not something you wanna do if you're trying to not have Pn Mary call out your name with .. The Tone. :) Nahh, she's cool. Besides, being on time for school for the whole year is on my 2009 resolution. :)

Goo'nigh, peep.

January 5, 2009

Hello hello, ju-ju-juniors.

I was on the second shift to help out at the form 1's orientation today. Was on the same shift as Lat and Maryam so I wasn't as nervous as I could be without them there.

So it was fun! :) It was my first time. I remember when I first came into school and the PRS ran one of the orientation days. During my year, Fairuz and Yasmin Lane were one of the few PRS's that did the orientation.

While the form1's were sorting out their text books, the PRS were just waiting in front of the hall till they got everything sorted out. I was fiddling with the microphone, then I asked Lat if it was turned on. So she said "Hello" into the mic . After that she went on a silent strike cos she thought she sounded like a boy. lol.

The both of us talked to Irena while we waited ... still still Latifah was on her silent strike.

I didn't receive my school text books as I was in the hall ... so I'll have to wait till tomorrow. After school Lat and I got ourselves yam ice cream ! :D Weird thing was, on our way out of the canteen, we saw a total of three chocolate ice scream scoops on the floor. ): Such a waste of good ice cream.

I'll be going for my first ever Add Maths tuition tonight. Wish me luck, people. :)

Tootle-loo! and ciaaaoo

Lets talk .. school.

So how was your first day of school?

Mine was fine :)

I got into 4SC, and I'm happy with it :) Pn Hoh is our class teacher, she's really funny. She sang a little of 16 going on 17 for us.

There's quite a few changes in Sri Aman. All (i hope) of the changes we're gonna start practicing this year on ...

  • We have to wear our sports house tag on the right collar ... lol
  • This year, we can help earn house points with sahsiah marks and our behaviour in class can and will affect our sports house points.
  • 4SA and 4SB have 'new' classrooms. They're on the top floor of the PIBG building. 4SA have their own balcony with a view of KLCC in sight, and their own rest room to themselves. But 4SB gets the bigger classroom.
  • Each class have a specific table they're responsible for during recess. :\ The class doesn't have to sit during recess, we just have to make sure the table is clean after our recess.
  • Every 3rd week of the month, chairperson(s)/president(s) of clubs, societies etc will run the Monday assembly.
  • Aaaaand ... Sri Aman will be having a production! I don't know if this is yearly, but we're having one this year. Hope this goes well. It'll be fun working on a production with your schoolmates.
A was terribly sleepy during Mandarin class. After rushing home, I had like 15 minutes to eat lunch and wash up before Vicky came. I couldn't concentrate, at all .. so we'll be rescheduling the tuition to about half an hour later. Hope I won't still be as sleepy.

Arrright .... this weeks favourite broadway number?

Nowadays from Chicago. I think Renee Zellweger did very well. Catherine Zeta Jones was good too, but I think Zellweger was a little more carefree, and I found it fun to watch her have fun with the number.

First day of school - 2009! :)

I'm leaving for school in 10 minutes.

Couldn't sleep last night, probably the excitement of the first day of school took up too much space in my mind for it to tell the body to go to sleep. So I spent about fifteen minutes on the internet watching Chicago - the movie musical clips.

This year will be the first time 'first day of school' was without Gina since the year ... 1999.

oh well, see ya'll at school :)

January 1, 2009

Aloha 2009!

What a way to start a new year :)

Someone tried to break into my dad's car. They used wires, a grass cutter and a plank of wood. They didn't manage to break into the car but the driver's seat window is chipped. This morning, when my dad went to the police station to lodge a report, both his nokia and his samsung phones were stolen. Contacts, appointments, info all gone. aaaaall gone.

I woke up to my dad calling my name. hahah. That rarely happens, he usually leaves me sleeping even if it's after noon. But today the family were going to have lunch at uncle Zahrain's house. I like going there, uncle Zahrain, uncle Zubair and my dad have their weird jokes and it's fun to just sit at the table and listen.

One of the paintings, aunt Hairani wanted the painting on one of the walls. But one of the men suggested the painting be hung on another wall, he thought it'd look better. Then Uncle Zubair steps in and says, "Dude, you better let the woman decide. Take it from a married man, she won't let you forget about it until the day you die.". LOL.

We were at uncle Zahrains house 'till about 6pm. After we picked up Sean from Uptown, we went to Ikea to get my wall shelves and Jean's study table. In the car daddy told me, as my reward for my PMR results, he gave me three choices of ...

  • A short trip to somewhere during one of the holidays.
  • Deco for my room ... painting, bean bag .. anything
  • Or cash to spend
I'm not going for the cash, I'm almost certain I'll spend it all. I'm considering between choices one and two, but I have a feeling I'll be going for choice number two. There's an Audrey Hepburn painting I want from IKEA. Sure, it's no one of a kind painting, but I like it :) We'll see.

We bought my wall shelves, which my dad will help me put up tomorrow. Although, we couldn't find a suitable table for Jean, not only has it have to be suitable for Jean, but it has to have the correct width measurement to look like an extension from the table I bought.

Tomorrow I'll be going to KLIA to bid farewell to our housekeeper, Gina, of ten years. She's been with me since I was in kindie, it's going to be weird not seeing her around the house. Or her voice calling out my name during dinner time. Or her coming into my room and telling me the mess is a sore for the eye, and can't stop bugging me to clean it up, especially my clothes strewn everywhere. I'll miss her. I'll really really miss her.

On the way home, it was around 9.45pm and in my head I just went, "Ohmygod. Right now, at this moment, the cast of mamma mia is performing on stage in istana budaya." That, followed by the sudden bang of wanting to go to istana budaya and watch them strut their stuff for the last time in KL. The show should be finishing by now (11.14pm), I'm gonna miss the musical. Hopefully next year West End will send another great musical for an international tour. Please oh please? :)
