HighSchoolMusical..Three

:\ I wanted to just download the songs I liked best from the movie.

Ended up downloading EVERY song ...

Aiyah.

The first few seconds of 'Just Wanna Be With You' was sung by Ryan and Kelsie.  I think Lucas Gabreel's voice is dreamy - kinda. He sang the song (well, first bit) beautifully. He should've got that duet. Make a little Ryan+Kelsie oohlala scene.  :)

Lat, Qis, have you guys watched HSM3?

:) But my favourite favourite favourite would be 'A Night to Remember' and 'Can I Have This Dance'. I think I'll have a bowl of froot loops right now. It's all sugar but it's so colorful I can't help but smile whenever I have them.

Mhhh guess what. I caught the 'Enchanted' bug - again. Listened to James Marsden and his B-E-A-ooooootiful voice of his on youtube, singing 'True Loves Kiss'. Oh, and I couldn't stop watching the scene where he jumps off the bridge in the park and a bunch of bicycles collide with him. :) ahhhh fun-n-n-ny.

Mamma miaaa :)

Ben Folds

My brother came across Ben Folds. Uploaded songs onto our iTunes and I fell in love ever since :)

Didn't get to climb up the Kiara hill this morning with mummy. Mummy was working late last night (till 3am :\) , felt too tired to go through the whole exercise regime we had planned for the day. There'll be other days.

My dad came home for Friday prayers and brought Jean and I to his office. To do some 'work', haha. We do nothing at home, so might as well we make ourselves useful somewhere. :) lol all we did was sort out all the business cards my dad had stacked up in his office. Mark me, there were LOADS of cards. But it was fun, sorting with my sister.

After that we went to Bangsaw Village for groceries. Dad stayed at Starbucks, had a meeting. While Jean and I took our time at MPH. Jean bought her Winx Club magazine (boreee! XP read Archie, that's what I say), I looked for the day planner. Couldn't find one I liked, so I guess this gives me an excuse to go back to Curve for the planner :)

I looooove the grocery store at Bangsar Village. :) We bought the stuff to make s'mores. Ever since Qis's bday party and she made s'mores for us, I've been aching to make my own batch. Note to self, must ask Qis about it. (before I blow up my kitchen)

Mum&Dad are out. Work stuff. Dinner was pizza hut in front of our xbox playing the Sims. :) Will sleep early tonight, ballroom tomorow! :D ahhh can't wait.

Missed school again :\

To Latifah >

I'm so sorry I didn't come to school today. I was watching TV so late last night, forgetting the next morning I'd have to wake up early. I know I promised, and I'm so sorry. I couldn't find the CSI:NY magazine at IKANO the other day. Either they had new issues of magazines stacked up or it was sold out.

I spent the whole day watching interviews on Rove Live on youtube. Rove McManus would have to be my favourite Aussie talk show host for now. He's funny, such a gentleman and not to mention an amiable host. So far, I loved the interviews he did with Daniel Radcliffe, Brendan Fraser, Hugh Jackman, and Elmo/Kevin Clash. :) Yeah you heard (eh, read) me, Elmo who lives on Sesame Street.

Heh, Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix is on right now. It kinds of saddens me, Half Blood Prince is soon premiering and they'll be working on the last movie. Imagine that. the last movie. Harry Potter has been with us (1993') since we were seven, it'll be sad when it comes the time to accept the fact that Harry Potter has come to an end. :) But the spirit of Harry James Potter and J.K. Rowling will never be forgotten now, would it.

How amazing is it, to know that there are people out there that can fit so perfectly to characters in a book (a VERY successful book). And did you know, that ALL the characters in the HP books are in Wikipedia?! They have the whole family tree there. My gosh ..

I think Harry Potter will be the talk when it comes to movies produced during our time. Like how our parents talk about Grease and Footloose.

When you have 5 minutes to spare ...

Look up

  • Charice Pempengco
  • Gamarjobat
  • Charlie Bit My Finger
Charice Pempengco would be the best 16 year old singer I've come across. I've told some of my friends about her. :) Nothing new i'm gonna mention here.

Once, David Foster had a concert (I think it was a concert) and Whitney Houston was supposed to sing. Whitney wasn't able to make it that day and Charice replaced Whitney Houston. Come on, how much of a genius does a person have to be to figure how good Pempengco must be to replace Whitney Houston?!

Gamarjobat are two Japanese ( i think ) mimes. Oh you'll love them

They were holding shows here in Bangsar's actors studio. I didn't get to catch the show but I hear they were hilarious. They have videos on youtube (lol, what isnt on youtube?)

Charlie Bit My Finger is just an adorable video you have to watch on youtube.

Another Cinderella Story

Found 'Another Cinderella Story' on youtube in parts. Told myself I'd just watch half of the movie and continue later.

Well that didn't go as planned. :) I ended up watching the one hour and a half movie. It's now 3.56am and I just finished watching the movie starring Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley.

I loved it. Yes it was another typical cliche cinderella story (note the title 'Another Cinderella Story'). But I still loved the movie. Selena Gomez <333>

I have a stiff neck, eyes red and swollen, but it was alllll worth it watching. Note to self, must get the HSM3 and Another Cinderella Story DVD.

Maybe it's a good idea to get some sleep.

Have I mentioned I Love SelenaGomez

:( I'd like to see her and Demi Lovato in more upcoming movies.

October 26, 2008

Yeahh.

The open house-cum-swim in the river was fun. Ace, Don and Auntie Mazlina and family where there too. There was a lot of laughing :) I honestly felt like staying a little longer when my mom said it was time to leave.

We made a pit stop at home to freshen up before heading to auntie Nik's house and dance rehearsal. Sean and I only spent like 3 minutes at auntie Nik's open house. I felt bad but we were already half and hour late to dance rehearsal. Lucky for us auntie Nik's house was in Duta Nusantara (rehearsals are held weekly at Nusantara).

Auntie Mazlina and family were already there when we arrived. Auntie Nik's husband, Tan Sri Zaki Tun Azmi, was recently appointed the Chief Justice of the Federal Court. Amelia (Henderson)'s aunt was at the open house too. I think she's a lawyer, so her seeing Amelia's aunt at the open house didn't really come as a shocker.

Rehearsals were fun (and tiring). Inka didn't attend rehearsal, maybe due to her finals coming up. Or was it her SPM examinations :\

Tariq and Alan were joking around with a 'Stitch' hat :) The hat was so fury. Sean and Alfin .. well, were being Sean and Alfin. Qissie was doing Maths :) And there was a walkie talkie moment. Siti, Alesia, Alia were darlings - uh ... as usual.

Oh and we've completed the choreography to 'Welcome to the 60's from the Hairspray soundtrack. I love the dance. The next dance we had to learn was 'Its Hairspray'. Auntie Farah also had everyone walk around the room with poise. :) I won't be dancing to that number, but I loved the whole idea of the scene.

After, mummy, Jean, Sean and myself went to Curve to catch HSM3. We've booked the tickets online (that would be the first time I booked movie tickets online, and I love booking online so much I think I wont be standing in the queue to purchase movie tickets ever again XD).

I . Loved . It. I really really did.

My brother's opinion of the movie had a complete oppose to mine. :\ He still says HSM is gay and childish. Throughout the movie I was slumped in his chair lol. He was smart enough to not share with me his comments during the movie. :) But he agrees that Troy's solo was not as bad as his solo in the second movie - Bet On It. Now THAT number was a little 'off' moment in the movie.

I don't quite favor the first 2 movies. But this one had so much energy and HSM3 really really went all out. I say, HSM3 had more 'it' than the first two. No spoilers. But those who're willing to spare and hour and a half and 10 ringgit for HSM3, give the movie a shot, I say go for it.

Awesome ad in MeganChng's blog

Megan's blog had a neat ad by nuffnag.  It said

Stress
How do YOU cope?

I thought that was pretty neat :) I also thought that the ad had a really cool song about having a GoodDay. Then I said, "I need to get myself this ad for my blog :) "

It was after listening to the song over and over again was when I realized the song was Megan's iPod thingy in the blog :) not the ad. And I told myself, "How in the world did I think that?!"

I'm excited for what I have planned for today :) I have a try out session at the World Dance Academy for Ballroom :) It seems that I have to try out both Latin and Modern. And I cant wait :) After that I'll be heading for rehearsal at DutaNusantara :) cant wait either. And after that it's back home and it's gonna be just me and a hill of fluffy pillows.

Sunday is gonna be a whole different story :)

Worthy movies

the top 3 movies I'd have to say was worthy of my two hours in front of the telly would be

  1. The Green Mile - starring Tom Hanks
  2. The Patriot - starring Mel Gibson
  3. Th Freedom Writers - starring Hilary Swank.
I loved the performance of all the stars. I also loved

Michael Duncan in The Green Mile
Heath Ledger in The Patriot

Whenever you have the time, get the DVD or catch on tv :) These three are definitely worth 2 hours.

Better-than-yesterday-post :D

My sister didn't go to school today , hooorah! :) Means I get a full day with the bucket of joy. We went and got out hair trimmed, washed, style-ised :D

Later we even baked British scones :) mmm. They were an AWESOME turn-out. We ate three quarters and left like .. 2 for sean :) He'll be home soon-ahh. Cleaning up the kitchen ended with Jean and flour all over her face :D She only managed to flour-ise my shirt. mwahahah!

Sean came home and we had fun with the webcam :) Had a greatgreat LOOOOONG HARD laugh at it. Here's where you can see the pictures. umm ... HERE

Here come the holidays

I spent the afternoon reading a history book about Rome and the Vatican. I watched National Treasure yesterday and I remember admiring Benjamin Gate's wide field of history. I struggle with form 3 sejarah and he has the whole world's history and puzzles at the back of his hand.

Thats when I decided, I'm gonna make this holiday a productive holiday before going back to school. School is interesting but there's so much more out there I'd much prefer spending three quarters of a year. World history, Ancient historical places, cities, Great leaders of 'yesterday' whose quotes and decisions still still relate to the people of today.

That's what I want to learn about the world. I think people who discover to the core of God's creations are very gifted and I boy do I respect them. But for me, personally, I'd much prefer studying the people of the world. Yesterday and today. God's creation are as perfect as it can get, we can appreciate by being amazed and keep on discovering. But it will stay as it is (putting aside the fact that mankind destroy and modify).

I want to learn about the people because I personally feel the mind is an interesting field to study. How it works, why it tells, how 'the mind' and 'the feel' can be such contrast. Mostly, how it thinks of such wonders.

So anyway, I've listed a few things to do during the holidays. Suddenly the holidays doesn't seem enough (hah! when does it ever?)

  • Attend baking classes with my mum :). I love kitchen commotion.
  • Latin dance. I forgot to call the studio this afternoon. Will do tomorow. **Alia, the studio I might be going to is in PJ. Might be too far for you, but I know theres a Havana Studios in Hartamas. But I dont know if they're good :)
  • Read up some world history. Drop by the bookstore, get me a good book and read my day away ! :D
  • DanSing Thru Broadway rehearsals obviously (:
  • Clean up room. My house is a storeroom its self :D
  • And ofcourse, a little bit of shopping here and there
Thats about it for now. Am watching CSI:NY. shhhah!

October 20, 2008

Lil' Grasshopper

Everytime I'm watching a movie at home, just suddenly my mind would say, "You're supposed to be studying!" And then I'll think again, "Eh, what is there to study!?"

The studying bug is here to stay, folks. Instead of shoo-ing away the instinct I've decided to take it to my advantage.

I need want a few things from IKANO :) Best to make my list here as I'll probably lose it 2 hours after I write it down on paper.

  • New sneakers. Those solid colored ones I see on Disney stars feet. Yeah, too much Disney, I start looking at their feet :) Been craving for a pair.
  • 2009 Day Planner. I need to help get Vicky (Mandarin tuiton teacher) one too. DanSing Thru Broadway is back on and will be staging in Feb2009. Rehearsals will start pouring. Best I get rehearsals organized.
  • Graphic tee. I have slogan tees, I want graphics :) I need to open up to different stuff. I'm too sticky to my usual. :\
  • CSI:NY magazine!!!! Latifah found it in IKANO :) She didn't buy it cos she already bought another mag. I figured I'll buy one before the Oct issue isn't in stock no more (do they publish the mag monthly?). We'll read it together in school, Lat :)
  • Yam ice-cream. I wait for yam ice cream in school it gets tiring. I want 24 hour supply of yam ice cream. :D ahah!
  • Ice cream cones. For my ice cream, duh. Lat and Trishi won't be eating ice cream in a bowl at my placeXP
  • HSM3 I cant wait :) MeganChng, Isaac, Nasha, Sara and I planned to watch it together. Though I'm not sure if the plan is still on. If it doesn't work out then I'll most probably treat my little sister to the movie :)
That's about it. I love CURVE and IKANO but sometimes it's seems as if they don't have much there. OU has everything but I go there all the time. I'm kinda torn between going to curve-cum-ikano-cum-ikea, sunway, or mid valley. Sunway and MidV might not have the magazine. But sunway and midV gives me more choices for the shoes and tee. Ice cream I can get anywhere lah.

I was so bored I browsed through all the pictures in the mac. Found many pictures of my sister camwhoring with the built-in camera. I still have no idea where it is btw. They say the mic and the camera are at the top of the moniter but theres only one hole. blondie ..

Yeah, thats me trying showing my sister who's the real camwhore in the family XP

Thats the little devil :) hahah. I love her. She's just a bucket load of joy and laughter.

I found my brother camwhoring :D ahhhahah! I'll just put one up.

Took for granted

Didn't go to school today. The form 3 batch have nothing much to do in school now that PMR is over and we've already returned our SPBT books.

I'm at home, with absolutely nothing to do. And today, unfortunately, became one of those days when the internet couldn't offer me something productive to do. Or maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

I came across a blog I stopped 'following' quite a while back. But I'm glad I did. We used to be so close, honestly I've forgotten the reason why we stopped being close. I remember being so angry I didn't want anything to do with anyone in that particular social circle.

Though now I realize the period of time we never talked was such a waste of time. There was and is so much she and I could've shared with each other.  I regret not being there for her when she needed me, heck I don't even know WHEN she needed someone. See what I mean by we completely did not communicate?

But I think now I'm scared to walk back into the social circle cos I think I've forgotten who I was a few years ago. She seems to be exactly how I remembered her from back then (although 'back then' doesn't seem so long ago). I never get hyped up over silly things in MSN no more, myspace/friendster comments dont fly from one profile to the other. The whole fun-hyper flare died from me quite a while ago.

:\ Have I changed that much? Schedules, tuiton, to-do lists really got to me :(

Grrr, I want Mae-version2006 to come home :(

2008 - my reunion year

2008 would have to be the biggest reunion year in my book. So far.

I found Irena De Fillipou on Facebook. I never knew her surname was 'De Fillipou'. She was my kindie best best best friend until she moved to Terengganu when I was eight. We never heard from each other ever since. She sent me a letter once but there wasnt an address. Mumsters and I went to her grandpa's house to ask for Irena's house address in Terengganu. I still dont know why didnt that work. Coincidently, Irena is good friends with YasminDisney, who's friends with AliaAstaman.

I also found Gino, well atleast that was he I knew him by when we were little. My parents were friends with his, it was almost every weekend my brother and I would go to his house for the whole afternoon. I found Gino in one of Krystle Koh's pictures on facebook. It was yet again another coincidence, Krystle was in Peter Pan - the Musical that staged midst of this year at Istana Budaya. Or was it last year? Anyway. She joined DanSing Thru Broadway and that was how I knew Krystle.

And just yesterday I went to UncleZubir+AuntieIdah's open house. Saw Atika and Imran the two people I think I spent my whole childhood with. Up until I was around ten I think. It was nice to see them again. :)

The year isn't ending until another 2 more months. Maybe I'll get to reunite with one of my childhood friends, again :) Fingers crossed.

Camp Rock :D

Yesterday (18.10.08) was awesomazing.

I woke up at five thirty and blogged a little before I got ready for CampRock.

All participates had to be at the meeting point (Astro) at 8.30am. Departure time to KLPAC was 8.45am. Adrian Loke was at the registration counter when I registered myself. Adrian was from HSM-My School Rocks. He was also the person that called us (Transformers) to perform for some event in OU. That was fun.

Inka was already there when I registered. Immediately she introduced me to two new friends :) Gauthamy and Samulya. Gauthamy was in Annie-The Musical that staged in the Arena of Stars in Genting back in 2005. So yeah, she knew Latifah and Amelia.

Samulya was very nice. (: She goes to Alice Smith International School, she knows Amelia Henderson. Coincidence I'll be seeing Amelia today (19.10.08). Such a small world, this is. We boarded the bus soon after meeting Gauthamy and Samulya. They split the participants to the 'On Air' participants and the 'Online' participants.

Inka was Online and I was On Air. :( But Gauthamy was on air too so I had company.

The bus ride was cool :) We played and acronym game. People in the bus were very friendly. Nothing awkward.

:) When we reached KLPAC, the first thing I saw was posters  and posters and posters of DemiLovato, JoeJonas, NickJonas, and KevinJonas. They were all over the place! From the ground floor to the 2nd floor! :) Ahhhh. The room we were in was also CampRock-a-fied. A huge stage that filled half the room, I presume you already know the backdrop :) There was a mirror, I was guessing for the dancing module we were gonna have.

Ean and Natalie from hitz.fm were the hosts. They were fun. JD and Uno from Pop Shuvit were the celebrity  guests for our 'Songwriting 101' module. I dunno what brought up the subject but at the end of the module everyone was into an inside joke about breakfast. :)

There were 4 participants that were asked to share with everyone a song they composed themselves. The songs were amazing. :) They were so sweet. I loved Desiree and Amanda's song. Our expert for the module was NorFatimah and (another guy who's name escapes me), said to be one of the few Malaysian's expert composers. mmh.

After that we had our 'Singing 101' module. Suki from One in a Million was the celebrity guest. She was very cute, very bubbly was well. She performed the malay version of 'This is Me' called 'Siapaku'. I've never heard that cover but it was nice.

Expert was Maziah. She really helped in our breathing techniques. At the end of the module, we were paired in groups of 2. Inka and I paired up together :) and every group had to perform one verse and a chorus of 'This is Me'. Gaaah, Inka and I were really nervous.

:) They announced the top 3 winners soon after everyone got their turn to perform. Inka and I came in second :) yayyy! haha.

We had our lunch break after singing 101. Inka and i were expecting mee hoon or chicken rice in plastic containers. But boyyyy were we wrong.

We had lunch in the cafe in the ground floor. It was buffet style and EVERYTHING was simply D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.!!! There were fried squid, sliced beef medium rare, ribs, pasta (very very yummy pasta), cheesecake, ice cream in cute cups, and chocolate pudding. Almost gourmet, maaaaan XD hahah. And waiters went around with tall glasses of coke, orange juice and sprite.

After lunch, we had our 'Showmanship 101' module. Celebrity guest was non-other than Moots from hitz.fm and Pop Shuvit. Hahah, until CampRock I had no idea they were the same person. It was really interesting listening to him. He really had the passion to do what he loves - perform. You could tell he really loved it and he really knew what he was talking about.

Our expert for Showmanship was Linda Jasmine. Hahah! I had noooo idea but all the while, one of the CampRock participants, Qalif, was Linda Jasmine's son! hahah! She talked and answered ALL of our questions and there were alot. Too many for me to list them down :)

Linda Jasmine had the floor cleared and the participants split into 2 groups. 'We Rock' played and we had to strut to the other side of the room. The 2 groups would take turns :) Everyone was a little shy at first but it picked up around the middle and then everyone got into it soon after. AFTER that, Linda Jasmine would pick people into groups and they would go on stage and show their 'showmanship'. I was really nervous about this module cos I was really really not good with improv's.

Our 'dancing 101' module celebrity was Alam from So You Think You Cant Dance. He was very sweet with the participants and very friendly. He also performed to 'Hasta La Vista'.. BOY can he breakdance.

Our expert for the module was ... Linda Jasmine! haha! She has us all warm up and later taught us some choreography to 'Hasta La Vista'. :) The steps were fun and really energetic-ish. Everyone picked up really fast :) 15 minutes later we were groups of 5/6 and had to perform on stage. :)

Inka, myself, Amulya, Gauthamy and Shakirah were in a group together. We came in second. And Inka came in as one of the individual winners!!! AHHHHH YAY INKA! She won a CampRock soundtrack!! AHHH! :D haha.

After that we took pictures, autographs and had tea in the cafe. After tea we boarded the bus, everyone was singing in the bus while Ean played the guitar. We played acronym games again. By the time we reached Astro, my mom was there. Said bye to Amulya and Gauthamy.

At around 8.30pm we reached UncleZubir+AuntieIdah's house for raya. I missed that place. We had nasi lemak and laksa. mmmmm I loved the laksa. Just the way I like it. Havent seen Atika and Imran in so long I almost forgot how they looked like. Saw Atika first. :) Then Imran. Hahah! I almost couldn't recognize him! He had his hair very different and was taller too. lol first thing he said was 'You've grown'.

I was half expecting him to look at Jean and go 'Mae? Is that you??". lol, that was what Adam did the last time I saw him. UncleZubir told us about Gamarjobat - 2 Japanese mimes performing in Bangsar. :) I really wanna watch but their last show is today (19.10.08) and the timing doenst fit with our schedule so I dont think we're watching, although I really really want t0. So I guess I'll just have to stick to watching them on youtube. They're very funny :) You guys should check them out.

We went home at around 10.30pm. I was hoping to catch up with Atika and Imran . Were childhood friends since ... well since very young but we've all grown. Atika is working/studying in Perak and Imran's in form5. He went to his friends place for raya soon after we arrived.

Ahh, there'll be other times. 18.10.08 would have to be one of the best days in 2008. :)

PMR's over :) (yeaaah, 1 day too late)

The last paper was Geography. Answers were so close! You'd decide with A and when you do your last minute checking, you'd decide C.

After the exam, people tell you it's A

:) Hate it when that happens. lol. Halfway through the exam I was half-hoping my seniors to give me a sign. I dunno, lay out flowers outside the hall, or signal me in bird-language. SOMETHING to help with Geo :D

But naah. Everytime before an exam started, the pengawas would remind us that we were not to communicate with anyone inside or outside the hall. :) Whenever someone I knew passed by the hall, I'd immediately look down at my paper. Yeahhh, that paranoid about getting caught.

I'd say PMR wasn't all that deadly. But the one paper I'd say was tough was Mandarin. I was drilling myself! I couldnt study my Geo when I got home after sitting for my Geo paper. :( I think I lost the A/B with my paper one. :(

After geography, people went to the field. :) I'll give you about 3 words to figure out what for.

Yamuna ran around the padang :D hahah she was panting like 3/4 across the field. :) Maybe the studying-exam schedule lowered her stamina :) Maybe I'd ACTUALLY be able to keep about 50 steps behind her if I were to run with her. :\ eh wait. Studying and exam would've lowered my stamina as well....?

I have good neewwws! :)

DanSing Thru Broadway is back on again :)

It'll stage next year in February for about a week. This time in DBKL. Not panggung bandaraya. The bigger auditorium. lol Sean and I should know where the building is. The last time Sean and I went to panggung for our first stage rehearsal, our driver dropped us off at DBKL instead off panggung DBKL. He said he'd wait for us till we were sure we were at the correct DBKL but I told him that he didnt have to wait.

In the end, Sean and I had to walk to panggung DBKL. :)

I cant wait :) Rehearsals start this Sunday. Cant wait to see everyone again.

I came home from school. I was beside my mom when she opened her daily planner. So. many. open. houses :) I thought the Hari Raya mood kind of subsided. But I guess it did only in my world. Saturday we had 4 houses. Sunday another few more.

18.10.08
I'm going to CampRock! :) I dont know if I posted about the time I called hitz.fm but yeah I called hitz.fm and got myself a ticket into Camp Rock. It's a Malaysian version but i think some Disney people from Singapore are organizing too. I dunno.

I'm so excited :D Lat and Trishi says its me being all gay. Hahaha. Wtv, man. Oh and I'm on a mad hunt for interesting/smart facts to present to those 2. Mind-blow them :). Yeah, they think that's gay too.

After CampRock mumsters will pick me up and the whole family will be going to AuntieIdah+UncleZubir's house for Raya. My dad's in Dubai right now. Will be coming home next week. I hope he gets me something :) I didnt get to go online and look for what I wanted due to the ongoing PMR exams at the time. Maybe another camel.

19.10.08
Rehearsal :) Mummy will drop Sean and me to Siti's house. Mummy has recording at 1pm. Rehearsal starts at 2pm. I love my mom. Despite her schedules she still makes time to make certain we get to do what we want. Supermom!

After, Auntie Rozina's having an open house at 6pm. Rehearsal ends at 5pm :D hahah! I get to test how fast can I get ready for an open house right after rehearsal. Bring it :) Yayyyy, am (hoping) seeing Rowena again. She's adorable. My other favourite kid. (the first would be Jean-eeee)

Here comes the weekend! yeah yeah yeah!

Harry Potter bug

I came across the Harry Potter theme song :)

It was the theme from the first movie. :\ It's kinda sad the theme song became darker each time a new movie produced. Recent HarryPotter movies are so dark. The magic in it isn't as 'impossible to imagine' anymore. :\ Fantasy in HarryPotter is taken over by darkness and evilllll. :\ heh

Still, can't wait 'till HarryPotter6 is out!

PMR goodies.

My BM results really pulls down my average grade. Which is irritating because I really do love school and I love studying (all my other subjects) but at the end of the day, my average score is effected by this one subject. My mom&dad understand and they told me to just pull through PMR and SPM

So I told myself. I WILL do my best for BM but I wont promise myself an "A" in BM for my PMR examination, and I wont promise myself to love the language. See, if I do promise myself these things, it would be a hu-gangtic step and if I dont achieve it I'll only beat myself for not achieving and it'll probably effect my self esteem.

But after about 2 weeks preparing for my exam, I unconsciously learned to love the language. It became such an adventure learning new words, the maze of BM grammar, dreaded essays. I love BM, it may have took my 9 years :) But I do love the language.

Same with Mandarin. And I learned that every language had a certain beauty to it. BM was like a flower that bloomed and bloomed, and you'll never know how big/beautiful it blooms. But you know it does bloom and you cant help but be apart of the language. As for Mandarin, we all know the Arabs and Chinese would have to be the oldest culture on earth (if I'm not mistaken). Mandarin had alot of history to it, and to learn every single one was a challenge but an exciting one nevertheless. After so many years, the meaning of the Mandarin characters strengthens. When you put together two characters, the meaning can be so strong it gives you goosebumps.

I took advantage of my given opportunity to learn these 2 languages. But I'll make up for it :)

Agama is a whole new thing. I fail that subject almost everytime I sit for it. It brings me down when I see my marks but mark it doesn't mean I don't love my religion.

I think I was just so against theorizing the religion I refused to open my reference book. My mind told me I had to read up but when I did nothing went it. And I dont think I wanted it to - atleast at that time. I think I unconsciously-purposely failed the subject. Does that make any sense?

My mind and my heart had a contrast when it came to agama class. I strongly believed that religion is something you believe in in your heart. Not something that should be told to you by another person. When I say 'another person' I dont mean the ustazah's or people that teach the religion. I meant the text books, the reference books. It's so ..... practiced. Making agama a subject taken in PMR made the religion so practiced, so .. academic. I didn't feel the will to learn because of the religion. I was made to learn because of the examination.

Which I felt was so wrong.

That was how I used to think. Which is still how I do now. But I think I used agama being a PMR examination subject a reason to cover up my laziness. I stand strongly by my thoughts about Agama examination. But now I know that I open my book and read about the religion because I truly want to know. There are things in the book that I disagree with (**kesan-kesan, not the facts). But disagreeing 'effects' that is stated in the reference book doesnt mean I go against Islam. I just dont agree with the publisher. Nor am I saying the publisher is in the wrong, just saying that I don't see it in the same way the publisher does.

You try and tell me how can a reference book tell you how or what to believe in. We are all entitled to our hearts beliefs, even if in the same religion. The Al-Quran is a guide for our beliefs. But if one doesn't have a strong own-belief in oneself, how do you be guided for something thats not in you? (this might sound harsh but trust me when I say I dont intend it to be). Everyone has their own beliefs. Everyone.

So right now you see me reading my Agama reference not because I'm preparing for my PMR. But because I'm reading to know about the religion. So If I get an A or an F grade. Who cares? I sure dont. The religion stands close to me and thats all I want. :)

I have a few friends who think the same. So may this be a ... thought when you sit agama class and feel so against it. (No disrespect to the ustazahs, I truly respect them. It takes a person certain and sure in one's religion to have the courage to teach others).

I hope I haven't said anything too improper. If so, feel free to state your thoughts :) I love thoughts. Mine and yours :)

Bahh! PMR :)

PMR is in 2 days. Just imagine, the next time i see my dear friends, we'd be sitting for our PMR examination.

I have so much to tell. But times a ticking, I'll have to get back to my books. I've realized so much preparing for PMR. :) Will have to wait till after PMR, i guess.

Wish me luck! And good luck to all your other 2008 PMR candidates. We'll rock this examination. XD
