Romeo Romeo.

Where art thou thee Romeo?

Did I spell that right?

will be leaving for Pinang tomorrow around noon. Probably before lunchtime. I'm just really tired right now. Got home from Eng. Lit, went straight to Physics tuition and then straight to the last dance practice before the competition.

And I'm worn out.

During physics i had one of those zonk-out-day-dream moments. :\ yeah that happens quite often. i want to write a song. :) just one song. That alone would take months.  But I think it'll be fun.

So uh . Yeah.

April 29, 2009

Familiar Hello

Here come the weekend.

:) Oh I can't wait.

April 24, 2009

What's in a name?

That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

I just got home from KLPAC. Went to watch  "From the Page and Onto the Floor" with the Form 4 English Literature class. I didn't wear the sea green dress I planned to, didn't feel like a dress night. Latifah's dress was really cute and her hair added the cuteness but in a dont mess with me kind of way. I don't know what she see is wrong about her new hair cut. I sure don't see anything. Make it work.

The play was good :) Shakespeare has always been such an inspiration all over and it wasn't until today when I realized exactly how amazing his work was. I loved Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet.

I loved how Shakespeare could put the feeling of 'love' into words. Usually we're lost for words, or words just couldn't describe the overwhelming feeling of it all (not talking outta experience :] Lots of romantic movies in the past, people), but Shakespeare managed to do so. How he made Romeo put his feelings to words, Bravo :)

Hah I've been living under a rock. Shakespeare. is amazing.

I saw Tria after the play. I'm sorry if I seemed a little awkward or dull. I was just really really tired and dehydrated.    :)

Work your magic, 2009.

2009 has been great so far :)

the 4 months have been amazing. A little downs here and there, but nothing a little 'You can do it' spirit can't handle.

This morning, as I got ready for school (in super slow motion), I had hitz.fm on the radio. JJ and Ean gave the cue to call for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the American Idol Finale in LA. Which is in about 4 weeks I think?

So in the short period of about 5 seconds, I said to myself, "Go for it. What are the chances, but no harm trying." So I ran downstairs, picked up the phone and punched in the number.

Busy.

Tried again.

Busy.

By this time the eagerness striked me. I had to try again.

Only at the 6th try I got through. Ring ring ring. A dude picked up and said, "Whats the password?" HAha I had a Harry Potter common room moment right there. I gave him the password and he put me on hold.

Seconds later JJ and Ean were on the other line. They asked the question. "Who performed last night?" And immediately I said (lol, it was on the edge of shouting), "DAVID ARCHULETA!". And the other side got really loud. lol. Soooo, yeah. Theres gonna be a final round, in that round the people that got through will have to answer questions about the past, present and future (?)  of American Idol from season 1 the the current one.

So I got to school. All happy and what. I had nothing to do in class, so I decided I'll count the weeks left before AI Finales. Just in case I do win the tickets (what are the chances), I want to know the rough date.

): And a total killer.

The week of AI finales might be the same week Sri Aman's mid year exams are going on ): (very very high chance)

Things can't always go the way you'd like them to. We'll see how things work out :)

April 22, 2009

When life gives you lemons, make Iced Lemon Tea.

We had an exhibition at school today.

And today I felt SO much better about what's my pathway after SPM. I'm not too sure about it, but at least I get to study something I'm comfortable in, and can still do performing arts as a hobby. I'm probably gonna take the ADP in either psychology or mass comm. And in my two years in the US (hopefully I'll get accepted into Michigan Technology University - or something like that), I'll make time for auditions and performances and stuff like that. It's either MTU or University of Oregon. What I like about Oregon is that it 'sounds' really peaceful there. Theres a lot of activites available. And California, LA, and New York isn't too far away either. It'll be fun visiting as many states of the country as time allows.

And whats best is that it's tax free (as what the lady at the INTO college stand told me). So yeah. But I don't hear/read much about performing arts in Oregon.

Why the US? Their performing arts is ... flexible? Performing Arts in the UK is awesome too. But for now, the ADP system seems much easier. Oh and sorry if I got any steps wrong/completely misunderstood the system. I only got my rough pathway this afternoon.

Nontheless, that's my rough plan for my first step :)

Study a course, get a degree in something solid, and performing arts comes in as a hobby. And I'm fine with that. As long as in the future, I have a solid job, and I get to do some theatre, I'm happy. Of course, prince charming and a happy family is what I'm looking forward to too.

The future is such a scary thing to think about. But I'm looking forward to it :) But what I'm sure of, is that one day in the future, mummy and I will have our visit to the Maccu Piccu village in Peru on my expense. And daddy will get to visit the Wonders of the World - also on my expense.

I pray, for lemons.

So that I can make lemonade. And hopefully some tea too. So we'll have not just lemonade, but Lemon Tea. If I can get ice, we'll have ICED lemon tea :)

But for now, let's go for the lemonade.

heh :) sorry, this was too adorable.

April 20, 2009

Is it really worth it.

When am I gonna find my Dimitri ?

Urgh the things fantasy movies can make you feel. Call it corny, but I've always wished for my very own fairy tale. My very own disney princess story. My very own perfect other half, not the other half you'd have to spend 5 years getting to know to know if he's the one. The one you dance with for 5 seconds and know, he's the one :)

I've always wanted my very own happy ending.

I imagine a world where everything is simple. I'll only get myself into a jumble of 'thought webs' if I go deeper. So I'll just end it here. I want a world, where everything is simple.

URGH. Disney makes you feel so good when you're watching the movie. Once it's over, you just feel so .. so ... "aww maaan". I envy Disney characters.

Oh grow up.

Duwan.

Confessions of a not-so-shopaholic

Planned to leave the stadium earlier, so I could go watch the HELP debate semifinals. I figured I needed to watch more live debates, thats one of the best ways to improve .. i think.

But in the end, Trishi and I couldn't leave early. The discipline teachers and Cik Liew explained that it was a schooling day and whatnot. It was when they explained it hit me, it was a Thursday and yeah, if we left early with no permission it was sort of skipping school. It didn't hit me before because ever since std1, Sports day used to be on a Saturday. soo uh .. well whatever, it just didn't hit me :) And I apologize to the discipline teachers if it seemed like we were being difficult students. I really wasn't thinking clearly :)

We stayed on for Sports Day and I'm glad we did. Hijau wasn't leading, on the contrary we accumulated the least points. BUT. While I cheered and screamed for the athletes and the senam robik .. people .. I felt so much enthusiasm, I had this urge to shout, Hijau we can do this! The juniors were pretty enthusiastic as well, I hope they too, felt that urge to really fight for the title as champion.

:) We finished last this year. With Blue leading, and Kuning in second place. Congrats to Kuning. The feeling must be wonderful :) You guys really deserve it, you've worked so hard.

So Hijau, next year, we'll really go for it :) Our seniors could do it, no doubt we can too.

After the event was over I got to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic. A movie I've been wanting to catch ever since it started screening here (March 29th, if I'm not mistaken). And it was a good movie :) I liked it. After the movie, I swear I had the urge to swipe a credit card. Apparel stores that never caught my attention suddenly seemed so attractive and I had the urge to walk in. Eventhough I only had like what, RM15 in my wallet? :)

But it was good fun.

I had a fun day. I'm really tired but I don't think that'll be a good enough reason to skip Add Maths tuition. I wouldn't think of it. As it is, I am clueless in class.

I'm sorry my blog is all text and no pictures. Recently I've been way too lazy to search.

April 15, 2009

:) Daddy and our Neighbour + Megan's Evilness

Daddy : *spots our neighbor, uncle Amir coming outta his house* Amiirr!

Uncle Amir : Yo!

Daddy : Whats up?!

Uncle Amir : Nothin' much. What's happening?

Mae : ...

Daddy : ...

Uncle Amir : ...

Daddy : Haaaaaaaaaappening.

Mae : O.O

Aiyo. Daddy needs to watch more Randy Jackson :)

So! I need a shower :) Just got home from Ballroom private class. Private classes are scary (and tiring -.-), that's when the eyes are on you. And you dance non-stop. In group classes you can sneak a break or two when the instructor isn't looking. During a private class, your instructor watches you like a hawk. :) But its cool. The classes are really fun and thats when I really get to work on technique.

Updates.

Everyday ever since 3pm on the 11th of April (Archie showcase)
I can't listen to his album. It hurts too much. :P lol drama queen. When I hear A Little Too Not Over You or Touch My Hand, I can't help but remember his cute little hops on stage :) And his ear-to-ear grin throughout the whole showcase.

Ughh. pain. David come back soon.

HELP debate. How it went down :)
Eeeeuuuurrmm ... We lost :) To Damansara Jaya.

But whatever it was, I don't regret what happened. The point is, it did :) We'll make our next debating experience an even better one than this experience. This was our first time ever participating in a real debate tournament, and I think (lol, I'm kinda hesitant when I'm about to use the word 'think'. I'll explain later on in this post) .. no .. I KNOW we did the best we could.

I got best speaker :) That was a surprise, honestly. I was ready to bet my bottom dollar that one of the Government speakers would nab that title for shiz'sure.

My first ever debating experience? I think it went okay. I think I stuttered a little during my rebuts to the arguments brought forth by the Government. MY GOSSH the end of my speech was the scariest part. I wrote my summary speech on the back of one of my cue cards. After I was done with my substantive speech, I couldn't find my summary speech. I freaked out but hopefully that didn't show. I was so close to saying, "L&G since I have no idea where I misplaced my summary speech, I'll do it spontaneously." But I didnt :) I just went on with whatever popped  into my head.

:) Highlight of the day (before the debate took place), I got to meet up with a friend I haven't seen since CNY. Alia Astaman. :) I'm really sorry I couldn't help you with your favor, eventhough I already said yes to helping you out. The debate was about to start. ):

I also got to meet up with a long lost friend :) One of my best friends in primary school. Alysha Lee. She bought a McD drink, which I thought was coke. So when she offered some I gladly took a sip, needed some sugar. AFTER I took a sip then she says, "It's Milo". Raaar. I don't like Milo at McD's. But it was nice seeing her again, and meeting some of her friends from Sri Inai.

P/S: About the 'think' thing. LOL. I slipped it out somewhere in my rebuttal speech. And the government highlighted it. LOL and when he did I was like, "Aww man. Kudos to you, dude. That was a good move." :) But all in all, it was a fun experience. Good luck to the DJ debate team in your next round.

Megan's evil Question.

She asked me. "Which was the better day? Genting with the Latin stars or Sunway with Archuleta."

:) I reeeaally dont know how to answer that. You eeeeEEEEeeeeval.

What I can tell you is that, doesn't matter which day was better, I really enjoyed myself during both events. And both for completely different reasons. Genting, I got to see what a dancesport competition was really like, and I got to learn so much ... (ehemehem and theendingwasfreakinawesome). Archie showcase was a blast, it was my first ever .. I can't say concert cos it wasn't. Okay okay. It was my first time watching one of my favourite favourite favouritest (I dont know if thats a word) artistes, with two other Archie maniacs. And that was a blast too. Singing along, screaming, just .. being in the audience watching him have fun on stage .. makes me want to get on stage and sing at the top of my lungs :) HAHA if I do, I think my fingers would be enough to count the amount of people in he audience. I might not even need my fingers :)

So Megan, I'll be evil back :)

POI declined.

But I still love you :)

Archie-mazing Saturday

11.4.09 would have to be one of the best days everr.

I woke up at 7.40am, or somewhere around there. Found myself singing along to David's album CD in my radio player. Couldn't get enough of the songs, really.

Elsheba got to my house at around 10am. Lat reached like, half an hour later, I think. We sat at the living room, just talking and letting our Archie-swooned minds over imagine possible possibilities that might happen before/during/after the showcase. That was pretty fun.

We thought we'd want to get him something. So we googled his favourite color, and the results came up as - purple and yellow. So we decided to give him a pair of Sri Aman socks (since our school color is purple and yellow), and inside the socks we'd put a bunch of markers, hopefully they'd be useful during his autograph sessions in the future.  :)  LOL My socks were either not washed, not dried, or the purple and yellow color on the sock weren't distinct enough. So we had to get a pair from Hidayah :) Thaaaankk yooouss.

The 3 of us planned to get to the Amphitheatre at around 12pm. The showcase starts at 3pm but we wanted front row seats :) Went to Sunway to buy the markers for David, and bought Subway for lunch (which reminds me, I owe $$ to both Lat and Elsheba, for the markers and Subway). We took a cab from Sunway Pyramid to the Amphitheatre. I think it was like two blocks from the elephant walk entrance, we saw a long row of people walking towards the Amphitheatre. :) So, as if we were in the Amazing Race we told the taxi driver to 'Cepat cepat'. And he laughed at us :) I think he knew why was it we wanted to get to the Amphitheatre so badly.

So in our heads, we were most probably the earliest bunch on people there.

Boy were we wrong. We were soooo wrong.

When we got there, the line was so long, the sight of the long line really crushed me ): We were so sure we were one of the earliest. Seems some people came as early as 8am. Urgh I should've slept over.

We waited under the hot sun, frustrated. Sweating and at the same time trying to get David's gift ready. At home, we thought since we might be getting front row seats, maybe we could throw the sock onto the stage from the audience :) Since meeting him personally would be ... unlikely.

So much for front row seats and throwing the sock. But Natalie Hew had meet and greet passes, so she handed the gift to David for us.

The line started moving somewhat 2 hours after we got into the line. People were running to the Amphitheatre, only to be halted or whistled at by the security people. My shoes really hurt so I took them off and ran :)

We got pretty good seats. Any lower I think our necks would've ached after the showcase. Any higher and all we'd see is a little figure of David walking up and down the stage.

We waited for what seemed like forever. I saw many friends there :) Nasha, Chong, Michelle Lim, Jasmine, Krystle, Cheryl, Deanna, Mag Lim, Alyssa, Joyce, Dawn, Yasmin, Jun Ming, Nadira and her sisters ... yeah. Took pictures with some of them, others I couldn't spot in the massive audience.

After what seemed like forever squared, they started with the opening acts. 3 artists. 6 songs. I think the opening acts took up about an hour? And after the opening acts (Hou Ren, Alif Satar and Danell Lee)

JJ and Ean : Do you know who comes out next?!

Audience : DDDDDAAAAVVIIIDD!!!

JJ and Ean : David Archuleta!

And he runs onstage in the most cutest outfit combination ever :) And from then onward, me, Lat and Elsheba concluded that, Archuleta is no longer cutie-Archie, he's genuine hot hot hot, now.

Immediately he sang A Little Too Not Over You. Everytime he sings the chorus, "Not over youuuuu" He'd point into the audience and girls would go wild.

Really, I couldn't explain how awesome his performance was. He had so much energy on stage. He definitely sounds so much better live than he does on the record. Not saying he doesn't sound awesome on the record. He most certainly does. But his presence when you watch him live makes a difference. Its just so ... BAM. He also sang Touch My Hand (My personal fave. I LOVE this song), Don't Let Go and Crush

I couldn't believe I was actually watching David Archuleta on stage. It felt so surreal and when he said, "Terima Kasiih!" and ran off stage, Lat, Baba and I, as well as many many many others out there in the audience screamed, "NO!!!!".

But he came out again :) Played A Thousand Miles - Vanessa Carlton, and Angels

And yeah. After that it was over. It. Was. Over. The showcase felt as short as me reading the last paragraph ): I really hope David would come back to Malaysia and hold a REAL concert.

Next time, Lat, Elsheba, we don't stake out the entrance.

We camp out.

On a side note, 2009 has been one of the greatest years so far :)

Can't Let the Music Stop

Can't Let the music Stop
Until I reach your haaaand ...
Cos' If I do it'll all be over
I'll never get the chance agaiiiin ...

- Touch My Hand, David Archuleta

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I just got home from David Archuleta's showcase and it was ...

Supercalafragilisticexpialidocious-archie-listic-AMAZING

Updats later. I need a shower - and quickly, before I catch a cold. Had to stand in the rain, waiting for my dad to pick Lat and myself after the showcase. But you know what?

It was all freakinworth it.

April 8, 2009

HE'S HERE HE'S HERE HE'S HERE!!!

:D Inka was at KLIA when David arrived.

Inka, thank you soooooo much for putting up with my calling every 5 minutes to check if David's arrived. And ohhhhhmygod when he did ...

He clenched the phone in my hand, almost screaming. I heard the fans on the other line scream his name, cheer, ask for autographs and photos. Ohhhmygosh :) And they started singing Crush together. That is so adorable.

The bodyguards had to bring David back into the ... departure thingy because there were too many people.

And all of a sudden I hear, on the other line, people cheering and screaming. When I asked Inka what was going on, ...

"He's waving."

HAHAHHA :D

Mae : Is he smiling? Is he smiling?

Inka : Yes omigosh he won't stop smiling! He's always smiling! He's so cute! :D

Well I dunno if she smiled but I could hear it.

): OHHHH GOSH I wish I was there. But never the mind :) The chance to see him as close as an audience gets to the stage, is already one of the awesome-est things ever.

WOOOHHOOO :D One thing checked off the never-ending list.

So today I participated in the PRS Minggu Kerjaya thing we've been preparing for since last week. The career of our choice was the career of an Architect. It was fun. I've never considered looking into architecture as a possible future career for me (and I still dont, actually), but all the research and the stuff I read about famous architects, it's pretty interesting.

I'm pretty surprised the bulletin thing I was in charge of turned out okay. Yes, I admit it I started at the last minute and that was my fault, and completely irresponsible. But I got it done. :)

At 2am ...

But I got it done.

Upcoming events (or events that require preparing waaayy before hand):-

  • HELP debate practices (9-13th April). This is the event I'm especially nervous about. We're getting together for almost every last two periods on schooling days. I think we might meet up during the weekend. I spend so much time on the internet reading stuff, I think my homework pile (uhh, some delayed since March) is getting so jealous it might run away (well wouldn't that make me the happiest person ever? :P )
  • Debate practice on Friday (10th April) after school. I made this a different sub point becaaaauuse, well this is like THE practice before we go to HELP. (haha it sounds funny when you say it like that .... go to HELP ... haha)
  • Parrttaaayyy on Friday (10th April). :) I've no clue what I'm wearing.
  • DAVID ARCHULETA with Latatatatat on Saturday (11th April). (I guess the whole 'this-will-be-the-last-post-until-after-the-showcase' thing isn't working out.)
  • Parrrttaaayyy - again. On Saturday (11th April). And again, I don't know what I'll be wearing.
  • HELP debate (14th April).
  • Sri Aman Sports Day (16th April).
  • Disney Movie Marathon (18th April). Guys is it okay if we make it like .. 7pm ? The next point explains why.
  • DTB2 Watch-the-Musical thing :) :) :) WHEEEEE get to see the people agaaaiin. WHEEEE. (18th April).
  • Latifah's bday celebration :D :D a.k.a. PAAAARRRRTTAAAYYYY - again again. (25th April)
  • Ballroom Comp @ Pinang (1-3rd May).
  • Craaayyyzzzaayy practice for ballroom comp (12,18,19,25,26th April)
  • ehem ehem :D :D (5th May)
  • Mid Year exams (11th-22nd May)
  • PRS camp, probably :D :D In MAAYY TOO. After Mid Year exams.
  • And starting NOW till somewhere in the beginning of the month July, I'll be preparing for the PRS gathering. We have a really cool theme. I'm in charge of the activities, team sorting, aaaand prizes.

The thing is, I don't mind doing all these stuff cos I actually like doing it. It's different when you're loaded with things you love and things you say 'urrgh' to. You feeeeeeel me? Yeah Maryam and Fatin sorta influenced me into 'the zone' today with their whole mafia imitations.

So. How's your April lookin'?

April 7, 2009

UUURURRGHHG

Oh come oooooon get this done and over with ):

This is really bugging me. I hate the fact that there ARE points, I just can't translate it into BM. I've been going at it for almost four hours, and it's seriously seriously picking at my last nerve ): And I'm not CLOSE to done.

Darn my lame-ness in BM. Daarrn.

April 6, 2009

Take a Breath

I can't wait for May. But at the same time I don't want April to go :) April '09 has to be one of the best months so far.

So. I'm still working on the debate. Mind boggling. But fun :) We're definitely gonna give the debate our best shot. The PRS minggu kerjaya thing is almost over. This Wednesday to be exact. The whole papier mache globe thing was fun and all, today Maryam, Fatin and myself drew and painted the globe. But the bulletin thing I'm in charge of is such a burden. Just because my printer is being weird and I'll have to print out the pictures at a shop. And I have only tomorrow to do so.

Although I'm pretty excited for the Minggu Kerjaya thing :) Experience. But we might be missing our class photo session ): Booo. I missed last years class photo session, the fact that I'll be missing in this years class photo really bugs me.

Ballroom practice is getting intense every single class. 2 weeks left before the comp.

April 3, 2009

Wooo

The weekend's FINALLY here.

:) Means Ballroom class is merely hours away, HELP debate workshop in about ... let's see, 9 hours? And 2 days for me to complete whatever school assignments I've yet to complete. Whoopeee bring it on.

:) It ALSO means. The next time I'm gonna say, "Its the weekend!", it's gonna be the same week I'll be watching David Archuleta live with Latifah Azlan :)

Yeah okay, you guys are probably sick of me bringing up the whole DA thing. :) I promise this will be the last post ( until AFTER the showcase ) :D

Working on the PRS project thing at Fatin's was fun :) We made a papier mache globe and it was sticky-awesome-ness. Painted egg cartons blood red aaaaaaaaaaand laughed and talked on Fatin's toilet floor :D. Okay fine, we were in the toilet only because we didn't want to mess up Fatin's bedroom floor with PVA glue and newspaper strips.

P/S : My mistake :) Latifah's birthday sweetness isn't over till 25th of April. :D  You have the whole of April, Lat :)

April 2, 2009

When I don't mind looking like a goofball.

For the whoooolleee day I was waiting for this evening :) Just so I could get my hands on the passes.

:) And now they're in my hands. A little flimsy. But his genuine smile smiling brightly up at me :) multiply the image by four. I have four of them (other 3 for friends).

To Latifah

:) We're going to Archuleta. Last year, Starworld was the closest we get to Archie :) Now we'll be watching him live.

Happy Birthday <33333

P/S : So your birthday sorta isn't over until the 11th of April O.o
