So I just finished tuition. 

My mom has sent mine and Lat's entries for the Archuleta showcase tickets giveaway contest hosted by the Star newspaper. 

Right before tuition, I checked both our entries. Just to be sure we've submitted everything, and that contact details are correct. I sealed it, my insides doing somersaults, hoping so hard either of us, if not both of us, wins. I put a lucky star in both envelopes :D School girl superstition. Just for luck. 

Held the envelopes in my hands, looked up and wished as hard as my mind let me. 

Amen. 

:) And off it went to the post office.

And now, heartbreak.

): It seems you have to be registered to AAM by 12pm on the 29th of March to be eligible for the Meet&Greet passes contest. I'm seriously, seriously bummed out about that right now. I was so so psyched about that particular contest. 5 lucky winners will get to meet, and greet David Archuleta. ): Even if I didn't win, at least the comfort of 'I tried' would've been enough. A chance. ): I missed that chance by an inchhhh. 

Oh well. I'm still gonna send in my entry. Not gonna help anything. 

But it'll comfort me.

We had lunch and I my sister had a small piece of chicken (i think it was chicken) stuck in between her teeth.

Jean (little sister) : Daddy? Can I have your toothpick floss thing?

Dad : *driving* uhh, it's all the way in the back, Jean.

Jean : Oh okay. Then can I have a toothpick ... or something?

Dad rummages through the compartment next to him and takes out a matchbox, tosses it to my sister

Dad : You said 'or something'. 

Later on during the ride in the middle of no where between KL and Penang ..

Jean : Daddy? Can I have water? ( i think she asked for water, maybe it was something else)

Mae & Sean : ... or something  *laughs*

Archuleta Awesome-ness

And all of a sudden April's all packed up and about to burst with to-do lists, happenings, and ... to-do lists. OH and lets not kid ourselves, homework is definitely gonna seal April with a big red bow. 

But, highlight of April is, (other than someone's special day on the 1st) ...

I'm trying heavy-weight-darn-hard to get showcase tickets. And no, you can't purchase them, you'll have to win them -.- urgghh, that makes it frustrating. and it hurts. and it burns a hole in your wallet sms-ing so much.

Nonetheless, let's keep a positive mind, shall we? :) 

It'll be super-dee-duper awesome if I could wriggle myself into getting passes to the autograph session, interview session AND the showcase altogether. But thats just asking for too much. Keep a sane mind, Mae. :) Stick with the showcase.

I looked for A Whole New World on youtube. And the results gave me videos with different languages :D So, to burn my extra 10 minutes before dinner, I watched A Whole New World in Japanese, German and French :) The Japanese singing-voice for Aladdin sounded quite like the English singer.

So I couldn't go to Lat's place for the LOST marathon. Mummy had plans at Bangsar and the timing wasn't right. This has to be ... what, the fifth time I cancel on LOST? ): 

p/s: Iman Judin, You have GOT to watch Sonny With A Chance on youtube. So far I've tracked down seven episodes (all in parts, but full episodes). And they're all hilarious. The 'Check It Out Girls' were in the episode, "Cheater Girls". Their lines are funny :D

After a month and a half of absence ...

YEASSH! :D My brother found my phone under one of the sofa cushions. :D :D :D :D I shrieked when he said, "Mae! Your phone!". AHHHHH!! :D :D

lol. When I couldn't find my phone. I left soo many voice mails pleading for it to come back to me. It was sorta creepy listening to my own voice on voice mail .. on my phone O.o

But yeah. :D So its back to the old 019 number.

And I'll keep bleeding rainbows, joy and more joy. 

Ballroom class on Saturday was good :) It really helped with emo-ness due to the sudden change in schedules (no more long hour rehearsals fill my weekend). Honestly, I think people at WDA see me as a quite person, who smiles only when people look at her direction. nyeeh. I wish I were more open when it comes to meeting new people. Guess I'll have to work on that.

I got to know Sophia, who goes to WDA but attends the 3.30pm class. :) She's really nice. And she's a Malay Chinese Muslim too :D :D soo yeah, she, too, goes through the whole. teachers missing you out when it comes to Agama tests, people question when you go to the surau (well, atleast for the first few times), people assuming you're Chinese (or whatever race they mistaken us for). It was a good laugh talking to her about these things.

After class Sean went to Bangsar. I had to wait with Jean till her class was over. :) Went to Warung Bellys with Sophia, Alex, Maybelle, Edmund, Johnston, Wei Chee, Su Mei and Belman. 

Sunday's ballroom practice was a lot of fun. They turned off the lights, blasted ballroom music and we'd just dance :D a lot of fun. And I got to watch Belman, our ballroom latin instructor, REALLY dance. As in with a partner. :) woowww he's really good.

Sean didn't come for the sunday practice. So I was left with no partner. lol so was Maybelle and Su Mei. But occasionally Maybelle would dance with Kenneth or her brother, Edmund. And Su Mei would dance with Alex. So yeah. Then Su Mei, Alex and Wei Chee asked if I'd like to practice with them. How nice of them :) I salute Wei Chee for being familiar with both the lady and the men's steps. I'd get too confused.

Later that night I went for the party. :) In my new dress mummy bought. I thought it was a little too short for me, so I wore black leggings with it. I really liked the put-together. But in the end changed into a different dress just before we left for the party.

The party was fun :) Seriously. And the birthday girl looked hot hot HOT with her new hair do. Happy Birthday, Natashyia.

Yulia and Riccardo is the best thing thats happening on the ballroom dance floors. seriously. they can go from completely, utterly, supeeeerrrbly cheeky ..

To fantasy-like beautiful. I was speechless when I watched this.

They interpret their dances so beautifully. They can portray sooo well. From Yulia's snobby character, to that spanish fantasy thing. It was soo beautiful, so full of love. It's like their characters couldn't be together as lovers or something like that. I loove them. I love love love them.

It's 8.32am on a Saturday morning. Yeah, believe it, human beings of earth, Mae woke up before 11am.

I didn't blog about the DTB2 cast party ): Buutttt, need I say more when I could just say ...

I'll be missing the DTB family. Well at least until next time, I guess. Malaysia isn't that big. :)

I WISH I WENT FOR JASON MRAZ'S CONCERT. ): ): ): People say he's soooo much better live than on his album. Like what Qis said, "his albums don't do him justice". Which, in my opinion is toootttaly true, cos watching his concerts on Youtube, *swoon* you not only could swim in his voice, you could dive into the pool of crisp, clear vocal skillz.

Mummy and Daddy bought me tickets to watch the Malaysia's International Dance Competition 2009 at Genting. 

Soooo! I found myself in the car, with The Family on our way up to Genting at around 7pm on the 27th of Feb. 

Kelvin told me Riccardo was coming. I was pretty excited about that. I was hoping for Franco, Bryan and Arunas to come as well. But that was just hoping.

While they did the opening parade, where all the couples stand behind their country flag ... 

Mummy : Mae look at that girls legs. The girl from Germany. My god they're like plastic! (the legs, not the girl)

Mae: Oh my goodness you're right.

And when I looked at the girls face, she seemed so familiar. So I thought I'd look for her partner, maybe I'd recognize him. I almost screamed when I realized who they were.

FRANCO FORMICA AND OXANA LEBEDEW !!

I was soooo excited :D when I saw them. I couldn't stop cheering and cheering and cheering.

Words wouldn't do justice to how AMAZING it was sitting there in the audience watching the couples on the dance floor. 

And theeeen. I saw another couple during the semi-finals of the professional latin open, the female in a shiny silver dress ...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH . And when I thought two, was at most, the number I'd get to see my favourite ballroom dancers in one night ..

competed in the Professional Open for Modern Standard Ballroom. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH. 

I took videos. I took many many pictures. SO many pictures. I loved watching the Professional Modern. They were sooo ... graceful. All the ladies looked like barbie dolls dancing on clouds, and the males looked like prince charming. NO, LIKE seriously. I fell in love with sooo many prince charmings' that night. ): Ultimate, hardest fall was on Arunas.

As for latin. I couldn't stop moving! It was just too amazing. FRANCO FORMICA ruled the dance floor with his Samba. Your eyes would just glue onto formica. Oh and the way he teases the audience with his nyeeh-this-eaaasy look. Needless to say, Franco was the best male latin dancer that night. But Yulia stole the show :) I really really think she was superb. Words cant describe how she pawned the floor.

When the competition ended, after the honor dancers by both couples, the audience got up to leave the Arena of Stars. 

Mummy and I waited a bit cos of the people-traffic. We weren't in a rush to go anywhere anyway.

While we were waiting just outside the doors of the arena, people started taking pictures with some couples. At that time, I soo wished, so hard that I could've had a picture with franco, riccardo and arunas. O.o that's like asking for a rainbow in a bottle.

And as if he heard me, I turned around and there he was :D :D :D :D with Oxana tagging behind. So I heaved up the courage and asked if I could have a picture with them as they were walking towards us. I asked Oxana, ofcourse, I think my kneees would've stopped functioning if I asked Franco. I guess you can get a rainbow in a bottle. :)

:D :D :D I got a picture with them. That alone made the night better than it was, and i really thought it couldn't have been any better. And theeeeen..

Mummy : Do you want to wait for Riccardo and Arunas?

Mae : *doing backflips inside* Yes please? :D

So we waited. Waited for, I think 5 minutes and we decided to walk inside the arena and see if they were on their way out. We saw Arunas and Katusha, still being interviewed by the press. But Riccardo wasn't in sight, nor was Yulia. But mummy waited with me, anyway.

They started to close the doors of the Arena. Arunas and Katusha just finished their interviews and they went in to change. I started to conclude that maybe we missed Riccardo and Yulia. Mummy said wait a little bit more.

So mummy and I talked about the competition. I wanted to go back to the hotel room cos we've been waiting for quite a while, and the genting people had closed all the doors. So I told mummy, let's go lah, but then I turned my head by a litte bit and a head of sleek, gel-ed and maybe hairspray-ed hair caught my eye.

Riccardo and Yulia came out from backstage and were making their way to where mummy and I stood. :O :O :O :O:O:O

and once again, I plucked up all the courage I had left after asking oxana for a picture, i asked Yulia if I could have a picture with her and riccardo. 

Mae : erm, Yulia? May I have a picture with you?

Yulia: *smile* Ye ...

Riccardo : *behind Yulia, struggling with his mini-trolley suitcase* If you can open the doors, then you may. :)

:) So I have a picture with Riccardo and Yulia, too. I didnt open the door. A lady did :) But I still got the picture :D

That night, I couldn't sleep. Cos I was way too excited, and way too happy for sleep. :) Coming from a FrancoRiccardoOxanaYuliaArunasKatusha fan-girl, thank you, everyone who made the competition a steaaaming success. Cos they made my day, week, month ... hmm, how do i put this , uh .. I was and still am, actually, swept off my feet. Cheesily, and simply put, I'm very very happy.

P/S:  I was sorta surprised when I stood next to Oxana, Riccardo and Yulia, cos they were around my height O.o they looked so tall on youtube. But yeah, Franco was about a head+little bit of shoulder taller than me.

• Somewhat during class, a junior knocked on a door with a plastic bag full of what it looked like red paper :D. And she asked for permission from the teacher to see me. :D And guesss what?! Turns out ...

I was goofy-smiling, I think throughout the rest of the day. 

• LOL. I went to the PRS board, just to update myself with what's new. what's kickin'. what's in the hizzzz-oussse. And I was confused when I read the board cos there was a notice saying .. 
  

'meeting on 3rd March from 2.30pm to 3.30pm'

O.o and I was asking myself, why would Millie want a meeting on a (random) Tuesday. AND dun dun dun daaaaaan! I heard Millie's voice behind me. 

Millie : Mae? Are you KADJ?

Mae : (in my head) *OMG YES MILLIE! I can ask her about the random Tuesday meeting. Eh wait, what is this she's saying about KADJ?*

Mae : What? Am I from DJ? No. (I mis-heard her)

Millie : Then why are you checking the KADJ board?

Mae : *okay now I really dont know what she's talking about.. I'm looking at the ... (looks up)*

Mae : OHHHH!!! AHAHHAHA :D

THATS why I was so confused about the random Tuesday meeting. I was actually reading the KADJ board. When I checked the PRS board ... yeah, :) Meetings aren't .. uhh .. on random Tuesdays anymore. Back to 1.05pm - 2.30pm meetings :D

• Sri Aman Idol was fun :) Singers were awesome. Noviah Chua won with her awesome performance of Because You Love Me - Celine Dion. And may I just add, that Siti totally pawns the hip hop world, and probably every other dance genre there is out there. 
  

• In class. I told Lydiya and whoever else was listening about me finding a faced-up 2ocent coin (which, some people believes, brings good luck)

It seems, he was mimicking how the Baywatch cast does the slow run on the shore. So his phone was in his pocket, and a big wave was coming. It washed his phone away. HA! :D HAHAHAH! I couldn't stop laughing when he told me this.

• To my future husband .. lol. Today in class, I was thinking about what my future-husband-person was doing right at that moment. I wondered what he was thinking about (if he even was thinking at the time), what he felt, if he knew that we'd meet one day :) And all of a sudden, I loved him :) 
  

I dont know who he is, how he looks like, how is he like .. but I love him :) I do I do I do. And it wasn't the excited jumpy crushy feeling. It was warm and fuzzy :D But like .. just a small short spark. I wonder if that's what real love feels like.

So when my future husband asks me when did I start loving him, I say .. 

"When I was 15 going on 16. 27th February 2009 when I was chit-chatting with my classmates."

Oh please, Mae :D You're only 16.

But I'm curious :D lol, even Lydiya felt it, kan?
