:(

I can't sleep.

It's 2.10am and I can't sleep.

My eyes are puffy, my back aches, my fingers are frozen cold and I can't sleep.

Somehow, (somewayy) the holidays is so exhausting. I love what I'm doing during the holidays. But I'm still so exhausted by everything. Not from rehearsals or ballroom class (which despite going on only for an hour, can be VERY exhausting), or anything physical. More like the mind never rests.

I remember being the little kid that wasted her holidays sitting down in front of the television, sleeping early and waking up late. All I did was eat, breathe and sleep. I didn't even need to think. I would always want to go out, do SOMETHING outside the house, play at Twinkles 2 for hours and hours.

Nowadays when I wake up I feel like I didn't give my mind enough time to shut down, to just not do anything. When I wake up I feel tired, exhausted. So I guess that's just it, then? I need more sleep? lol, sometimes I feel like I need a full 24 hours of sleep before I can really feel the familiar feeling of refresh-ness after I wake up. Thing is, I'm not the only teen going through this, there are so many out there that have to go through this. Some are even going through worse cases. It circles society, people kind of feel like it's normal. Well, atleast thats what I think. Correct me if I'm wrong :)

Holidays were so dragged last time, by the second half of December I'd be impatient to get back to school. Now I feel like I need an extra month. maybe even two!

The Holiday :)

I'm so darn tired. Just got back from rehearsal at KL Hilton for tomorrow's performance for the Campus ASTRO launch.

The 'gym' ladies at KLGCC received news that KLGCC is going to renovate the gym. I think maybe they're done with the east wing's cafethat they're moving towards the west wing. Soooo, meaning the gym ladies will either have to have their classes in another room or at Bkt Kiara. Although some of them aren't very keen on going to Kiara. The renovation will be a little dilemma for me as well :( If they're going to store the gym equipments/machines/wtv theyr'e and only bring them out again after renovation, I wont have a place to gymgym every morning. lol, my mom encourages me to go to the gym since I'm always waking late ever since school ended.

I watched 'The Holiday' starring Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Kate Winslet. Ohhh I loved it. How come I didn't get the DVD before?! I love how everything is just so calm. I mean, the characters were facing conflicts in the movie but their lifestyle (especially where Graham and Iris stayed) was so calmy. :( I wanna live somewhere like that.

Vicky (mandarin tuition teacher) came just when the movie ended. I have two essays to read up and some 'peribahasa's to learn up. I'm having second thoughts about taking the Mandarin SPM test. Thing is I have so much to catch up and I don't know if I'll make it in time. I still want to learn, I just want to learn the language without having a 'deadline' rushing me.

Oh, I went into the Cambridge site again looking at the AS/A Level syllabus for 2009. I can make it for O Levels but I figured since if I did take O Levels next year, I'll have to study for the O Levels next year, and then rush the AS/A Level syllabus the year after. So I think I'll take my time with the AS/A Level syllabus (not to forget I have to cope with school). Hopefully (but unlikely) I can take my AS/A Level examinations next year.

Therefore I can concentrate on SPM in 2010. Unless I settle my SPM and take the A Levels when I'm 18. But still that only gives me like one year (without having to juggle the SPM syllabus as well) to study A Levels.

Soooo
  • I take the staged assessment route next year for the A Levels. Hopefully I'll finish the exams November 2009.  or ....
  • I study next year. Take the full examination in June 2010 or take the staged assessment route. But this means the november A Levels might clash with SPM. or ....
  • I take the exam in June 2011. If I don't make it in time finish it all by November 2011.

Whoever understands how the exam works pleeasse shine some light on my dilemma. I worry I wont do well in SPM, I'll need something to back me up. People say A Levels are way way way more difficult than SPM but why not take a chance?! Oh well. We'll see how it goes. During the holidays I'll try and get the CIE endorsed books, that I'll need help looking from friends in international schools (hint hint, Anis XD).

Rehearsal at KL Hilton was ok. Alesia worked her pixie cut, today. She was a little shy about her new hairstyle yesterday but today she looked for confident about it. Work your hair, people. Everyone will be mic-ed for the show tomorrow. Thats cool.

Alia, Alan (Alia's brother, not Razlan), Alesia, Surayyn and myself watched the chefs prepare gourmet meals. oohhh it looked so beautiful (and yummy). Cooking and the presentation of the food is like art to chefs. Oh and one of the chefs had nice eyes :) lol. Good cook AND good eyes. Whoosh what a package. XP

I was waiting for mummy to pick me up when I saw a huge button on the traffic light pole. I've never pushed one before. I've never even seeeen anyone push the button other than in the movies. So, duuhh, I was so tempted to try.

And I did.

The light still read "Tunggu". But when it turned green, I didn't expect loud "Beeeeps" to beep when the traffic light count down-ed. I thought I was going to mess up the traffic and cars would honk and get so angry. I wanted to run back into the hotel.

lol then I realized there werent any cars around anyway. :) I laughed at myself after that.

November 16, 2008

Here comes the weeekend, yeah yeah yeah

16.11.08 Saturdaydayday

Today was the Golf Scramble organized by Phil Captain at Bkt Tinggi.

Daddy woke me up the first :\ It doesnt bother me but waking up first means you have to shower earlier in the morning. Means you can't you cant use the excuse of someone else in the shower to get a little bit more shut eye. But I dont mind. I slept AFTER I showered anyway.

I slept in the car as well. Had Maccers for breakfast on the way to Bkt Tinggi. That was the first time I had McD's chicken porridge.lol. My dad gave us RM20 and he said it should be enough. Sean and I went into McD's and after looking at the food pricing,  said to each other twenty was definitely NOT enough. So we went back to the car and asked for fifty.

Lol the total was RM19.95 :\

The ride up was .. well alot of green and twirly roads. When we got there, Sean , Jean and myself helped Phil Captain with the registration table and prepare all the goodie bags for the golfers. I figured out how to make a twist a sausage balloon into a puppy! :) Ahh.

Registration went well. A few people we were familiar with came to have fun in the friendly tournament. I was in charge in assuring all players got their golf bag tag according to their team number. I was also in charge of the caddie fees.

I didn't think money would be involved. LOL on the contrary, I've never seen so much money in cash before. Auntie Main and myself had a little trouble counting the money. There was just too much cash. In the end, Auntie Main had to put in RM5 cos the collected money always ended up five ringgit short when we calculated the supposed total according to people that turned up for the tournament.

Jean, Sean and I had lunch at the club house cafe. The club sandwich was ok, i guess. I still prefer the non-beatable Club Sandwich from KLGCC. Jean had a Jumbo Hot Dog which she wasn't able to finish so Sean and I ended up eating the sandwich AND like half of the hot dog. Uh, I felt a little too full after lunch.

We took the shuttle bus up to Colmar Tropical (or was it Tropicale?). Walked around, looked at the stuff the stalls were selling. Nothing interesting, just little trinkets and games. Watched the performance at around 3.30pm. The dances were interesting. :P Rowena reached Colmar somewhere during the performance.

In the shuttle bus down back to the clubhouse, there was a guy wearing a shirt with the word "Steward" on the back of his shirt.

Mae: Steward. Cool, now I know his name.

Sean: *pause. Mae, that's his JOB

Mae: HAHAHAH! oh.

All three of us joined the putting mini competition. I took a look at the prizes during registration this morning. The prize for the champion for the putting competition was a handphone. How sweet. I. am a veerryy terrible golf player. Honestly, I couldnt play to save my life. But I played anyway, for the fun of it. Sean gave me some tips as he went for his try before I did.

Dinner / Prize giving was cool. The weather was relaxing. Oh, if only it were like that everywhere in Malaysia. Although sometimes the cool weather gets a little too cold and when that happens the mood to walk out of the room just isnt there.

lol, surprisingly I won 3rd prize in the putting competition. Champion was a pro from Catholic High. He managed a hole in one during the second hole. 2nd went to Farah Liza. After dinner, a group of singers sang some oldies for us. Oh they were amazing. I went up to Farah's room where Jean, Rowena, and Tira were. We talked and talked, laughed, lol, went out the balcony and greeted random people (who very courteously replied). After that we turned in.

17.11.08 Sunday Sunday Sunday. Is a fun day fun day fun day
Sean and I had to leave Bkt Tinggi early this morning just so that we would make it in time for our 10am rehearsal at Petronas Twin Tower 1.

Sean and I bumped into Aizat almost immediately after getting down the car. We walked around Suria KLCC for a little while. Bought myself a Peanut Butter and Jelly donut from Dunkin. Sean bought .. mints. Anis cameee!! We see Anis like ... once every 3 months?? So it was awesome to see her again.

Alesia went through with her "I wanna cut my hair short". Today was the first time I got to see the result. I liked it. It was like a pixie hair cut only a little longer and with more obvious curls. I think it looks good on her.  Something different from her mid-length curly hair. :)

Before we started rehearsal, a guy from the safety department of petronas briefed us about emergency procedures. :\ I found out today that KLCC had 22 staircases. lol, at the end of the presentation (yes, he had it in power point as well (: ), I understood what he explained but one thing I understood VERY VERY CRYYYSTAL clearly.

run.  :) haha.

Rehearsal was tiring but fun. There werent any windows and the rehearsal studio was underground so for 8 hours we had no idea what was going on in the outside world. I wasn't feeling very myself today. So I couldnt enjoy the whole 'first-day-of-rehearsal-at-petronas. Amelia, Surayyn, Deanna, Sean and I played Speed. :) Maahhhahah I owwwned Surayyn. Sean beat me. Amelia and I couldn't finish our game, though.

After rehearsal, Alia, Inka, Alesia and I went shopping for a gift for Alia's friend. We had roti boy somewhere in between Marks and Spencer and Kinokuniya. Sean and Alfin picked me up at Kino to join Qis, Anis, Aizat, Alan, Tariq and Jo at the food court. lol. Sean only had soya. Alfin had a coconut O.o Tariq had finished his meal by the time I got there. Haha!

We were getting our LRT ticket when I saw Inka and Alia coming from the mall. But it we couldnt stop for long cos they were getting on a different LRT train. The rest of us (Qis, Anis, Sean, Alan, Aizat, Tariq, Jo) were on the same LRT train till Bangsar where everyone except Aizat, Sean and myself got off.

Thats about it for mu fun day. Right now I had a whole new week to look forward to. I'm a week nearer being a form 4 student in sri aman. joy.

I have so much to do before tomorrow hits the world. I have to practice piano, practice the routine for the Campus Astro launch on Tuesday, finish up my homework for Mandarin tuiton tomorrow, brush up my ballroom dance routine and clean up the routine for all the songs I'm included in for DTB. Squeeze in some reading on the internet, the old books in my room, and rearranging the furniture in my room.

Oh well. Today is the end of a week (well actually a starting but it kind  of feels like the end of a week to me), means it's one week less till Bei Jing!!!

Madagascar 2

I went to OU! :D yayy. Havent been there for awhile.

My sister and I had Baskin Robbins, my treat. We did some accessories shopping, but didn't purchase much. I was torn between 3 HUGE clips and multiple hair bands  both around RM20 from Diva but decided against it in the end. Diva is over pricy if you ask me. But still their merchandise is preeettyyy neeeaaat. :)

Instead we went to Bonita (the huge 50% discount was not to be ignored) and bought ourselves some earings :) oh and I bought purple bangles which I absolutely love and cant wait for the proper moment to wear 'em.

Jean wanted a "Best Friends Forever" necklace for her and her best friend. You know, those half hearts thingys, one says "Best" the other says "Friends" and when you put them together it says "Best Friends". But we couldn't find any so I made it up by getting her some cute sticker thingys she liked for her phone.

We watched MADAGASCAR 2!! I wasnt so keen on watching as I didn't really enjoy the first one, but it was the only appropriate movie for an eight year old at the time. Surprisingly, madagascar2 was quite funny. And the ending was quite sweet/touching as well.

Am watching Disturbia on HBO. I cant get out of my head, the time my mom just said (out of the blue, in fact)

Mom :"I like Shia LaBeouf as a boyfriend"

Mae : *silence

Mom :"I meant he's the kind of boyfriend. Not one of those pompous good looking ones like whats his name? The High School Musical guy?

Mae : Zac Efron?

Mom : Yeah. He's nice and mannered but Shia is intelligently funny. I like that kind of 'boyfriend'.

lol. Point taken, Ma. :) I kind of got it like hours after the convo took place. She didn't mean she wanted him as a boyfriend. More like, to her, he's the potential boyfriend. :) And I agree. I have a big day tomorrow. The family is driving up (or is it down? :\) to Bukit Tinggi for a PIKOM event going on. I like the place we'll be staying in, I cant recall the name but it's very French-y. I like the pizza there sooo, yay :D
